The property is dated but comfortable. Could use a reno or facelift, as well as detailed cleaning. The hallways were quite dirty, walls marked up, etc., but the beds were very comfortable. The pool was very cloudy and we didn't feel comfortable going in. No hot tub which is odd. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood shows signs of the toxic drug crisis and economic depression, but just keep your car locked and mind your own business and you'll be fine. RCMP station right around the corner anyway. The Denny's downstairs is fantastic. The server was lovely. I have two rowdy young kids and they were very patient with them and welcoming. Food was great. Overall, I would stay again when I'm passing through but it's certainly not a destination resort.

The hotel is run down and needs to be updated. Kitchen was dirty. Covers missing on electrical outlets etc. the hotel just needs to be renovated and cleaned up.

It was an easy quick stay, the area felt unsafe and we called local taxi as we drove all day, was told it would be 20 min. We waited around 35-40 min and decided to just drive as restaurants would be closing soon. Taxi company called and asked if we still needed them 🙈 Our room was far from clean, many hairs in bathroom, windows were filthy, bathroom sink was dirty and mirror had toothpaste sprays on it. Bathroom sink was plugged too. We didn’t even shower, just waited as I wouldn’t have felt very clean. Staff was friendly enough, but when asked about safety, I was just told that every towns unsafe. Fair enough. No security on site. All at your own risk. No issues with safety but we were there for less than 12 hours.

Single pane windows, very very loud. Im a heavy sleeper and kept waking up. A/C very loud starting up and off and on all night. My room right over a door so people coming and going every time woke me up. Needs TLC maintaining and fixing, upgrading. Some nice staff, some incompetent basically.

Toilet ran constantly didn’t like the outside door banging open & closed until 12:45am I don’t know if it was someone going outside to smoke BUT it was every 10 minutes!!! Definitely could use new carpets & some paint
