I loved it in Amarillo

The staff was very warm and welcoming. It was nice to get a water and some Lorna Doones on arriving. Some Hamptons do this while others don't. I think it should be standard practice especially during summer months in hot areas. I was made to feel welcome and appreciated by everyone there. I loved the little stickers and pins for Amarillo that were available, too.

A stay from Heck...

Could not get Air Conditioner to work. There was a loud noise coming from over our room too loud for either my wife of I to sleep. Got up at 3:00 am to go down to the front desk to ask for help and there was no one working there! Yelled and knocked on the staff door multiple times to no answer. finally gave up. Was promised Jesse the Manage would call us to work out getting us taken care of. NO CALL...Nothing.

This Hotel had things that are important to me!

I finally found a place that had the things I look for when traveling. First it was NEW! It smelled fabulous when we walked in 9pm after a long day on the road. They had my room ready and a/c set nice and cool. (It worked well). There were more than 2 towels! I really appreciate have extra towels/hand towels/wash cloths. Room was clean. LOVED that they had a thick comfy mattress with cotton sheets! Not the cheap microfiber flimsy sheets I've come across in many hotels. Plenty of pillows with choices. Nice solid shade on window with edges to block out any light when closed. Breakfast offered was a standard of mediocre foods. I am more concerned with the comfort/cleanliness in the room and it was great! And love that I could book a room through my hotels.com account.
