This was a very disappointing experience. We did not end up staying at Emin Butik Otel.
We had booked, paid and received confirmation only to arrive and be told by the owner that there was a problem. They had no vacancy. The owner said he had closed the bookings on the websites the hotel advertised through. He said we shouldn’t have been able book it. He could however accomodate us in the hotel across the road that he also owned. It was late in the day and we had few other options. While the small room we ended up staying in had few of the amenities shown on website for Emin Butik it was clean. In the morning I spoke to the owner and said I felt we needed a partial refund. He disagreed and said he had thrown in a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast while adequate was minimal e.g. they ran out of bread. We didn’t want to ruin a perfect 6 week holiday by arguing so we just let things be. This was the worst value for money on our whole trip. We hope this is an exception for this hotel.
