Arcadia, our traditional Cretan home, is totally renovated and offers comfortable and quality accommodation in a house (sleeps 4) and cottage (sleeps 2). The large roof terrace has views of the White Mountains. The pretty courtyard garden with fruit trees, has plenty of places to relax or dine in sun or shade. The property is completed by a new swimming pool, completed 2020.

Gavalochori is a vibrant village with two excellent tavernas, bakery, supermarkets and a craft shop all within walking distance.

The nearest beach is at Almyrida, 10 minutes drive. It has two sandy beaches, safe for children, and also offers a selection of tavernas on the water’s edge, water sports (canoes, paddle boards, windsurfers and Hobie Cats), a dive centre and boat trips.

Our area offers fabulous walks, varying from a gentle a stroll from the house to a strenuous gorge walk.

Chania is a 30 minute drive away. With its beautiful Venetian harbour, restaurants, shops and quaint back streets it a an interesting place to visit by day or in the evening.
