No-frills service: manager never showed up: accessible only via key-pad (intercom), we requested early breakfast (we're told breakfast area would be unlocked in the morning, which was... but we couldn't find the lights switch: not fun with two little kids, one of whom is afraid of darkness).
The room was spotless & had everything we required. It was lovely & warm & very welcoming.

Perfect for Dublin Airport
Overall was a good value. The fans in the bathroom were so loud however, my neighbor had theirs on and it was like sleeping next to a jet engine. Ear plugs are good. The manager was great. Very nice and accomodating. It was perfect to get to the airport within 30 mins.
The owner was awesome and super helpful... even after I accidently checked out a day early. We got another room right away with no issues. The rooms are exactly what I would expect for a bed and breakfast, so don't expect to be going to a five star hotel. Bring a hairdryer, the two we used were broken. Food was excellent!
To check into the hotel, we waited outside for about 10 minutes waiting to be buzzed in and it was around 1830. We didn't meet any staff until breakfast, which was great and perfect for children. Upon checking out, we were told our room ( which was freezing)was already charged for the two nights. We received no receipt because the owner had left. Once we arrive home, I realized that my card had been charged for our friends room also. Luckily, it was a easy fix; however, our card was charged $375 instead of $167. The hotel had both parties credit card information but he took no time to verify any details.
Very friendly and willing to help out on all requests

Very basic
The room was fairly clean very basic. We had room beside the front door so it was noisy until after 12am. Discovered large spider on painting in morning. Breakfast was nice. Got lost due to address Sat nav took us miles away, staff were helpful in getting us to the right place
We stayed here 3 nights over the last 2 weeks. Rod, the owner, is a dynamo. Extremely knowledgeable of area. Very helpful. Place was warm, comfortable, and inviting. Breakfast was good. Loved the open seating/schedule for breakfast. Rod was always available for questions and seemed sincere in his desire for us to have a fantastic holiday. If in or around Dublin again, this would be our first choice in place to stay. - Thanks Rod!
When we arrived we could not get anyone in. After 15 minutes we got a cleaner who spoke very little English. Eventually the owner rang me and said he was upgrading us to an apartment and he hoped the cleaner had prepared it. The apartment was absolutely filthy and had not been cleaned for some time. There was no heating on and no electricity. The smoke alarm in the living room was covered and the one in the kitchen area was broken. It was so bad i would not have put my dog in it let alone my family.Outside equipment / junk was piled up. Very disappointing but the Pillo Hotel up the road was absolutely wonderful.
Aisling Guest House is convenient for car travellers to the centre of Ashbourne and the M50 around Dublin. Rooms were spacious & comfortable. We travelled with a 3-month old baby and were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast times were very convenient & the quality of the breakfast was good. Would highly recommend Aisling Guest House for people who are visiting Ashbourne, North Dublin or South East Meath.
We stayed here as it is quite close to Slane and we were going to a concert, this Guesthouse organised transport to and from this, they were very accommodating, the room was clean and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. Would definitely stay her again.
The only vision (Aisling = vision in Gaelic) at work was the television. Most glaring problem was that there was no heat and no one came when we rang the bell except another resident. Moldy smell from hallway and rooms. Breakfast was fine. Plenty of parking and convenient to Dublin Airport but other issues will prevent a future stay. Not recommended.
I had a very pleasant stay there.Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very close to work for me and had plenty of secure parking. Breakfast was very tasty and there was plenty to choose from. I would recommend this guest house as an ideal place to stay when visiting the surrounding area of Ashbourne or if you are travelling to Dublin or the airport.
We took a family room - we found the accomodation and staff were excellent. The breakfast was top class, and set us up for the day.
Will stay there again.
