Originally when we walked in the place it had a very strong vinegar smell. We opened the windows and after a few hours the smell was gone. I know some people clean with a vinegar mix, a less chemical approach, so it wasn't too big of a deal for us. The place was nice. Clean all around. Had all the necessary stuff for cooking and morning coffee. They also had coffee grinds in case you forgot your own. They pretty much thought of everything. Plenty of towels and rags. Had robes and slippers for the hot tub. The couch wasn't the most comfy but we didn't plan on staying inside. Only issue we had was the shower drain. It drained slow. So I almost felt like I had to rush so we didn't over flow. And the longer shower curtain was drowning in the 'soup'. As for outside patio. It's perfect. Spacious. Not much of a view due to the marsh and privacy screen. but was still nice and private. Enjoyed our morning coffees and dinner outside. The hot tub was clean but don't think all the jets worked. Still we enjoyed it. We experienced some road noise but it was a beautiful weekend and everyone was out enjoying it. A small list of some minor TLC maintenance items could be done, that my partner noticed (maintenance background), he notices things like that... but overall still a great visit and we enjoyed our stay.

Definitely recommend staying at the Lil Finch. Everything was clean and exceeded our expectations. It was very close to Mt Rainier which was a bonus. The hosts were excellent with communication. Will definitely stay here again.

This cabin is amazing — the perfect spot for a quiet getaway for couples. It’s super private, and we had such a great time here. Kent and Kari are wonderful hosts, and I just hope future guests take good care of this lovely place.

The cabin was cozy and I LOVED the sauna. There were a few minor things like the woodstove could stand a cleaning to work a bit better and not all the jets work in the hot tub. But overall a very comfortable and relaxing space.

We loved the unique layout of the cabin. Upstairs bed is comfy, just need shutters for the small windows. Super clean and modern. Loved the extra amenities such as jacuzzi, spa and fire fit. So peaceful with beautiful views. Nearby creek completes the nature experience.

Solo traveler who stayed three nights. Extremely cozy and well appointed cabin (down to foil, plastic bags, spices, bandaids, bbque tools, candles, throws, memory foam pilows…). The property was very clean and I loved the outside at least as much as the inside. Cool mornings at the gas fire were great. Close distance to the entrance of Mt. Rainier. I think the only surprise was that you can occasionally hear cars on the road beyond the backyard only because it looks like it’s very secluded! I slept well and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay when visiting the Mount Rainier area. This tiny home was well thought out to provide all the comforts of home plus. The outer area extends the living area making the home feel much larger. We did not use the hot tub but my husband raved about the sauna. Now I think he has plans to add one to our home. This place is a real gem.If you have the opportunity to stay there do it its fantastic.It's a little short so if you're over 6 feet, you gotta kind of figure it out.But other than that it's amazing!

Lil’ Finch is a great spot

This was an incredibly beautiful piece of property. The sauna and hot tub transformed this property from just a tiny house to a full destination. The ceiling on the upper bunk was really hard for my giant husband to walk, but my little self fit just fine. The couch is NOT comfortable though. Gas and wood fire pits made it nice to sit outside while it was in the 20s. The Edison bulb lights hanging everywhere was a nice addition. They had condiments for the food we brought. Just a really nice spot with a dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave and all the amenities. The heated floors were a very nice surprise and so was the heated towel bar. Can’t say nice enough things. Perfect place for us to have a weekend mini vacation.
