The Space:

Jacksons Hideaway is a compact, thoughtfully arranged cottage with everything needed for a comfortable couples stay. The kitchenette is well equipped for simple meals, with a small dining area for two and a relaxed lounge that works well for slow mornings or evenings in after the beach.



The bedroom features a queen bed with quality linen and large windows that bring in light and views of the surrounding greenery. The bathroom is modern and practical, with a walk in shower and clean, uncluttered finishes.



Outside, a private deck sits among the trees and birdsong. It is a peaceful spot for reading, outdoor meals, or simply enjoying the quiet at the end of the day. The setting feels removed and calm, while still being close to beaches, villages, and vineyards.



Guest Access:

Guests have full, private use of the cottage and deck during their stay. The space is fully self-contained and designed for comfort and simplicity, everything you need is here to make yourself at home.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee; we’ll confirm closer to your stay. Please note that if there’s a same-day guest changeover, these can’t be offered.



There’s dedicated parking for one car beside the cottage, and a short shared driveway with the main residence where the owners live.

The Neighborhood:

Jacksons Hideaway sits in a quiet, green pocket between Enclosure Bay and Sandy Bay, both within an easy walk. Enclosure Bay is known for its calm water and rock pools, while Sandy Bay offers soft sand and sheltered swimming.



A short drive brings you into Oneroa Village, where cafés, galleries, and small shops line Ocean View Road. It is an easy place to pick up supplies, enjoy a coffee, or spend a relaxed afternoon wandering.



The location also works well for vineyard visits. Casita Miro is nearby for long lunches on mosaic terraces, while Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant, Cable Bay, and Tantalus Estate are all a short drive away. For something more casual, The Heke is a popular local stop for relaxed food and craft beer.



Getting Around:

There is off street parking beside the cottage if you are bringing a car, and from here it is only a short drive to Oneroa Village, the Matiatia passenger ferry, and the island’s main vineyard routes.



If you prefer not to drive, the closest bus stop is within walking distance. Buses run from Onetangi and stop near most major vineyards, including The Heke, before continuing through Oneroa and on to the ferry terminal. This makes it easy to explore the island without planning a return trip.



Taxis operate across Waiheke, though availability can be limited in the evenings or during busy weekends. E bikes and scooters can also be hired in Oneroa for guests who prefer a slower, scenic way to get around.

Jackson’s Hideaway shares a driveway with the main residence, where the friendly owners live. The cottage has dedicated parking for one car beside the entrance and full privacy once inside.



Like most Waiheke homes, the property runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.



Minimum stay requirements apply, seven nights from mid-December to mid-January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times.



Interaction with Guests:

Our team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after hours support for urgent matters. In the event of a life threatening emergency or urgent property issue such as fire or medical emergency, please call 111 immediately. For other urgent concerns outside business hours, please use the after hours contact number provided in your check in information.
