Semi-Oceanfront Dog-Friendly House with Private Hot Tub and access to a Community Pool

Double your vacation excitement and pleasure at Twin Tides, a lovely house just one lot back from the beach, and refreshed with a clean, coastal feel. The Askins Creek beach walkway is just across a quiet, kid-friendly road that will deposit your guests at one of our favorite beaches. Twin Tides has easy parking and two carports. An outdoor shower will keep guests fresh, and a park grill will keep them fed. There is a welcoming hammock swing on the first exterior access landing.

The house opens with a sundeck with a bubbly hot tub and a large, furnished, screened-in porch with a picnic table. You can catch all sunrises and sunsets from the top-level lookout deck. Twin Tides has a large combo great room, with the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features modern appliances, a breakfast bar, and an exterior west-facing sundeck. The cathedral ceiling with fans adds plenty of open space and a breeze to the mix. The living area has comfy resort furniture and an entertainment package with a large LED TV/DVD and stereo. Southwest bedroom one shares a full bath with tub shower with oceanside bedroom two. On the other side of the great room is Northwest bedroom three. Bedroom four shares a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo with bedroom three. All of the bedrooms have LED TVs. You will always find the perfect time and tide to hit the beach at lovely oceanside Twin Tides.

Lovely cottage not far from the beach. Great central living area for the family to gather. Well stocked kitchen. Screened in porch is great for staying shaded and away from the bugs. The walk to the ocean is not far, but the very tall and steep sand dune is challenging for older and not as physically capable people. Food Lion is right down the road and there are a good number of nearby restaurants. I would stay here again if looking in the Avon area.

Just to get address of place was like pulling teeth. Would not give me address of place until day before leaving. Would not give us extra towels and did not tell us that until after we got there so we could not bring our own. Home had water bugs, roaches and ants in home. Will use a different company next time.

Lovely place for the family

The house was great, well decorated with modern appliances. Great location, walk-on beach is close as well as drive on beach. Super close to food lion which is nice. The only thing i wish i knew is the house entrance is up two flights of stairs. My dad has a bad leg and had to fight the steps each time he needed to go in or out of the house.

Perfect space for our extended /growing family. Well stocked kitchen. Screened porch perfect for rainy afternoons. Waterview from widows wakk is a wonderful spot to watch sunrise. Extremely responsive property management. Great neighborhood, quick access to groceries etc. Uncrowded beach, easy access.

The house is in a great location. It's a very short walk to the beach. It's well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes. It's exactly as advertised.

Pretty place but some issues

Beds had an extra mattress stacked on a box and regular mattress that was uncomfortably soft and lumpy, made the bed too high to get easily into, and transferred every movement of the other person . Our friends left a day early due to poor sleeping and back issues from it. Also, a dedicated charging station or two would help. Kitchen floor needs attention bc of warping/buckling of LVP.

Beach Get Away - Great

Location was amazing. The place was nice and pretty. The great room was renovated. Need to update the bathrooms. Have a ant issue on the outdoor garage area. Had some scout ants in the kitchen area...not serious though. Spraying may take care of what may become a larger problem in the future.

OBX -Avon Twin Tides

A spacious home with an open concept to keep everyone together. We enjoyed the hot tub, the screened in porch and our favorite was the rooftop deck to catch a glimpse of the ocean. Our party of five adults from 21-53 and twin furry companions ( age 5) all had a wonderful time. We truly wish we could have stayed forever. We highly recommend this property and it's convenient 300 yards to the ocean (via dune walkway)

Fell short of the mark

This could definitely be a 5 star rating if the property managers did their job and Vacasa followed through with communication. It was very clear from our arrival, that communication, cleanliness and being thorough was not a top priority in the off season. I arrived with my family, for the Easter spring break. We were looking forward to using the hot tub, but the hot tub didn’t function properly with the temperature not heating up (after a few days it did increase the temperature) and water leaking under the deck. Immediately, we called Vacasa to tell them about the grill and hot tub.. They said that someone would call me back, & we’d have someone come to the property but that never happened. The outdoor grill was rusted, cracked through the stand and unusable. The outdoor water supply was turned off so you couldn’t use the shower or hose for rinsing off sandy feet. The swing on the deck was broken and the arm was laying on the floor. The cord keeping the screen on the door kept coming out and needed to be pushed back in consistently. One of the dining chairs had an arm that was not screwed in correctly so it kept falling off. We asked for early access and was told no due to covid cleaning procedures. There was no cleaning procedures evident. The floor was dirty (I brought my own floor wipes) and hadn’t been cleaned. Two of the beds didn’t have sheets on them and we needed to make the beds. One roll of toilet paper and only 2 trash bags (we went out and bought more). Windows and furniture were dusty, again I was thankful I brought my own cleaning products. All of these things are minor but I felt quite upset as instead of relaxing on our vacation, I was a cleaner and handy man. This rating should have been higher and if we had been told upfront sorry the grill doesn’t work or the hot tub is not working as expected, we would have been prepared. It was disappointing that no one called to check on us or follow up. There were other issues but had the property managers viewed the property they would have seen this before we arrived and could have managed expectations or actually been proactive and fixed these things to be ready for guests.

Great beach getaway

Great house for a family. Common areas have been recently renovated and feel great. Close to the beach and hot tub + screened in porch are great. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent this house again.
