The staff was super courteous. Everything seemed clean for the most part. The personal pool wasn't clean. It had a bunch of little bugs floating that you could only see at night. However, I feel it's only right to say I'm missing a $100 bill from my bag. Also, i had to look closely at my bills before paying them. Twice i was being overcharged and had it corrected. They hold the cc machine so you can pay, but not see the invoice, while telling you the price. Beautiful views and awesome lagoon!!

Feedback para el hotel: Le falta mantenimiento a la habitación, sobre todo al aire acondicionado. Estaba arrojando partículas negras. No cuentan con suficiente agua caliente. Después de un baño había que esperar para que se calentara para que la siguiente persona pudiera bañarse. Hay filtraciones de agua de la tina, el lavabo y la regadera. La parte del lavabo que no tiene muro hacia el resto de la habitación está mal pensado. El personal en general es muy amable y servicial. A cada rato se va la luz. Los alimentos podrían mejorar. Las camas del muelle están muy incómodas y sucias. La alberca es poco atractiva, ya que su ubicación no es buena. Feedback para Hoteles.com: Reservé la habitación más cara que tiene la alberca y resultó la menos adecuada, ya que estaba arrinconada y con una mini alberca sin climatizar en esta época del año. En su descripción indican que esta categoría de habitación tiene una tina, lo cual no es cierto, por lo que pedimos un cambio de habitación (downgrade) y nos rentaron una con tina solo por dos noches. También indican que el hotel cuenta con estacionamiento, lo cual también es falso, porque tuvimos que estacionar el auto en la calle. Por favor corrijan estos datos en su plataforma.

I’ve stayed at Amainah Bacalar several times since they opened and generally enjoy coming back. The location is great, the adults-only atmosphere keeps things calm, and overall it’s a pleasant place to stay. That said, there are a few things that keep it from being a 5 star experience. The balcony doors really need screen doors. In a place like Bacalar, you can’t leave them open without ending up with mosquitoes in the room, which is frustrating and easily avoidable. What pushed this stay to a solid 4 stars was Pablo at reception. He was genuinely helpful, attentive, and made the check-in experience smooth and welcoming, which makes a difference. Overall, a good stay with room for improvement, and I’d stay here again.
