What I liked was the property itself. The location and view I had from my room (2queen Mountain View) was amazing. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The hot pool had a great view. The manager was professional, friendly and took immediate action with a serious problem that occurred—no cleaning service for 2days out of my 4day visit. Her customer service was exemplary. The safe also didn’t work/jammed which had me in a panic as I had my passports in it. However that was also resolved. Overall, it was a beautiful hotel and I’d go back again.

Hotel Canoe was the perfect Banff getaway. The location is ideal — right in town but still peaceful, with stunning mountain views. Our room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering great local tips. We requested a late checkout to experience the amenities with the kids and we were delighted, especially loved the rooftop hot tub. Beautiful design, great service, and unbeatable vibes. We can’t wait to come back!

Very nice hotel. We enjoyed the hot pools, the restaurant, and the room with a view. Unexpectedly the hotel provided convenient indoor parking, and 2 Roam (local transit bus) passes for free.

This hotel is definitely trying to do a great job. There were many things to like about Canoe. The staff were uniformly kind, pleasant and helpful. When we ran into problems, they did their very best to fix them. Our room was large and had a big patio with extraordinary views of Mount Norquay and Cascade Mountain. Their in-room coffee system was the best I've encountered: they give you a high-end pour-over system with fresh ground coffee each morning. The bed was big and comfortable. The coffee and pastries from Sudden Sally were excellent. The hot pools were nicely done and had great views of the mountains. At the same time, there are things that could be improved. There was only one bedside table, so we ended up bringing in the table from the patio at night to use as a second one. The entire room vibrated at night with a low-pitched shuddering sound that made our dog nervous; the best we could guess was that it was the elevator system, but who knows? It was definitely distracting, though. We ordered the halloumi salad because grilled halloumi is heavenly, but the salad came with cold little cubes of ungrilled halloumi. (The staff took this off the bill though, to their credit.) One night, we were awakened to the smell of diesel fumes and sewage as a truck sucked out noxious content from the pipes. (The staff gave us a generous credit on our bill, to their credit.) Overall, we would happily stay again, because of the many positives and the great staff.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Canoe & Suites! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful — always ready with great local tips and friendly smiles. The room was modern, spotless, and surprisingly spacious, with a cozy fireplace and stunning mountain views that made every morning feel magical. One of my favorite parts was the hotel’s location. It's just far enough from the hustle of downtown to feel peaceful and relaxing, yet still super convenient thanks to the free Roam bus passes and the stop right out front. The amenities were top-notch — I especially enjoyed the hot pools after a day of exploring. Sudden Sally, the café/restaurant downstairs, served excellent food and coffee — a great way to start the day. All in all, Hotel Canoe & Suites was everything I hoped for and more. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Banff!

Stayed in the 3 bedroom suite, it was nice bunk beds for the kids was great. Only the living room area was cooler temp with ac going the master suit and bunk bed room didn't have good air flow. No ice maker in our building. Hot pools were nice view was good. We enjoyed the restaurant patio for dinner and pet friendly! Breakfast was also great! Expensive all around

The property was in great condition and one of the best locations when having a car, only complaint was the daily cleaning was not upto the mark. Otherwise it was great stay and the complimentary coffee was the best.

This was a great place to stay. Highly recommended. Big, modern, clean rooms with balconies and friendly staff. Amazing views. I would definitely stay here again. The only critique I would have, is that the pools and outdoor fire seating area close at 10pm. It would be nice if they kept it open until 11 or 12

Spacious. Street view is awesome. You get a mini kitchen with sink, kettle, coffee machine etc. Dry sauna and hot pool with locker room next to them. Lovely interior. We love that you get parking every floor so you can just walk out to your car in seconds regardless of what floor you are on (and skip the elevator). Front desk let me check in early. There was a little hiccup though.... the bed lining wasn't completely clean on one of the beds. But we were using one bed only anyways.
