Everything about this hotel was 5 stars, the staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The hotel is off the main strip so it was quiet but still within walking distance of Banff Ave restaurants and shops. The free transit ticket was also a great add on.

Stayed at the hotel in August. Place was very well kept, check-in was a breeze. Something different was they offered a selection of coffee and a choice of milk for morning coffee. The hot pool was very relaxing although I felt it was a tad bit hot. Staff were very nice and catered to all our needs promptly. They offer complimentary ROAM bus passes for few days which is very handy especially as the hotel is a little further from downtown. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay here again.

Property is new and beautifully designed. Beautifully designed hotel. Their patios and their hot pool & fire table outdoor deck was super nice. Garage was free, convenient and actually bright and clean. Hotel is on the far end of Banff town but we enjoyed this location as it was less crowded than downtown. They provide free bus pass during your stay. We had a car (easy parking in their garage) but used the convenient buses for most of our outings to town and other Banff locations. The hotel manager, Pearl, was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We would gladly stay at this hotel in the future.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotel and wonderful service and staff and amenities!!!! It would be nice if there were quiet times in the hot pool for adults only, it got crazy in there at times

Best hot tub view you could ever get. Quiet, clean. Attentive staff. Hotel provides free bus busses to make up for its distance from town center. Easy ride to get there.

Hotel was clean, staff was accommodating. The restaurant in hotel had amazing food for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend the cappuccinos! The rooftop hot pools were amazing as well.

We loved the rooftop hot tub with beautiful views! The highlight of our stay. The coffee/tea at check-in was a nice touch. Also appreciated the complimentary Roam bus passes. Only negatives: The beds were harder than our liking & the elevators run slow so we just took the stairs mostly. The stairwell was dirty for a day but noticed by the next day it had been vacuumed or swept.

Location and hot pools great Pour over coffee nice touch Rooms were horribly configured though - we had a corner room but the tv location was to the side of the bed so you could not watch it ! Needs a swivel holder in order or be moved to the main wall across. Air conditioning unit was also on the side of the bed so it only blew into the bed and never got the entire room cool Lighting in bathroom impossible to do makeup properly Minimal drawer space to unpack nor no counter space in bathroom to store anything Only provided 4 hangers in closet Bed wasn’t comfortable and sheets were stiff

Our week long stay at the Otter Hotel was perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff. Using the hot pools and sauna while looking at the mountains was amazing. Two robes provided in room to wear to the hot pools was a very nice touch. Complimentary Roam bus passes provided. Free parking garage a definite plus. Ice machine also has a water spout for filling your bottles, this was a great bonus for my family of water drinkers! Highly recommend staying here.
