I enjoyed my stay at Dorothy Motel. I felt safe and the staff are very accommodating. Parking was good too. Although, it was challenging for me to bring my luggage up since it only had stairs, still it was doable. It was next to the gas station and convenience store so that’s a plus point for me. Place was decent and clean. I will surely stay here again in the future.

A nice, spacious and clean room, good bathroom and the shower. The air conditioning / heating unit is too loud. The room has a safe box, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Unfortunately, they do not provide any plates or utensils. Also, the hotel sent an e-mail with the following information: "Please note that The Dorothy Motel is a self-service motel and there is no Front Desk. Mobile check-in information will be sent to guests with accurate email information, 48 hours prior to arrival." Yet, no check-in information was provided, and I had to call their number 8 hours before the arrival. It turns out you have to check-in at the front desk of their "sister-hotel" Canoe, which is fortunately just across the street.

Very quaint and clean rooms. Staff at the Hotel Canoe across the street were super accommodating and helpful. We were a 2 min walk away from the local bus stop which made traveling to and from easy. Would stay here again!

Everything about this hotel was lovely. Great location. Easy to walk into the centre of Banff. Great for discovering the National Park. Very good facilities and friendly staff

This was a great base to get to the sights in the Banff area. The staff at Hotel Canoe was great, Dorothy was quiet and wasn't busy, but was close enough to downtown to be walk-able.

We had a great stay in The Dorothy Motel in Banff. It was close to transportation, quiet, clean and we had access to the amenities such as the hot tub at a nearby hotel. Overall would stay again!!

We stayed here at the end of August for 3 nights. It was a nice quiet location at the top of the strip, further away from all the action which we liked because it’s all walkable. Also they gave us free bus passes. The bus stop is only a few steps away so it was easy to hop on hop off to go for dinner or a hike up Tunnel Mountain. The room’s interior design was very fresh & modern with interesting artwork taking inspiration from women of the backcountry & nature. We loved being on the ground floor with access to the beautiful courtyard where we sat at a small bistro set outside our door & enjoyed the complimentary pour over coffee we received / prepared ourselves daily. The room had cozy beds & we loved that they supplied Rocky Mountain Soap products in the bathroom. There was plenty of parking & special access to the beautiful hot pools at the Canoe Hotel across the road which had a change room w/ lockers & towels - so it was easy to just walk over and have a dip with magnificent mountain views! We really enjoyed our stay at The Dorothy!

Very cute property ☺️ with the rooms being recently renovated they are fresh, clean, AC/heat works, and trendy if nice decor is your thing. Bathroom is spacious, lots of storage in the room, and the little fridge and microwave are a great addition too! There is a 7ft clearance to get to some of the parking and stairs to the upper rooms so keep that in mind for your stay.

Simple but well designed. Conveniently located a block from the main downtown road & having a free bus pass with our stay was icing on the cake. Loved that we could use The Canoe Hotel's hot pools & ease of the lovely restaurant on site.
