We had a wonderful time at Island Place. It is a great location and we enjoyed many of the restaurants near the property. The staff of Island Place were very kind and set this place apart from other Bar Harbor options. We were heading into town for a wedding and they helped make sure we were checked in and ready to go! We would definitely stay here again!

The property is very well maintained, nice room, extremely clean and well taken care of. People are helpful, giving directions, helped with planning the days with tips and tricks. This was an amazing experience to stay at Island Place. Location is very close to the center, but far enough to stay quiet. Great place.

Ideal stay, reasonably priced. There’s nothing flashy about property but it is well kept and cared for. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The parking is perfect and its location made everything walkable. Will stay here again.

Island Place is an amazing stay to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia. The hotel is clean and well maintained and walking distance from downtown and the Village Green. We were able to walk to the shuttle buses instead of driving. Maureen and everyone there are the nicest people we've encountered at a hotel ever. They have amazing recommendations and made us feel like home. We are eager to come back!

Had no idea what I was doing when I planned our first trip to Acadia. Island Place was really a surprise gem and was the PERFECT base for us. It’s about a 10 minute walk to Main Street, so you’re walking distance to everything but far away from the crowds. Super convenient to get to Bar Island and to drive to the main roads. And the free parking spot took all the potential headache out of finding a spot for the car. Maureen and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, always saying hello and asking about our trip. The room itself was clean, comfy, and quiet. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!
