Enjoy the safety and seclusion that this community offers. Charter a fishing trip or take a swamp tour right here or hop in the car and head to downtown New Orleans to take in everything the city has to offer.

Owned and operated by New Orleans natives, we are happy to provide you with local recommendations and share our love for Louisiana!

Situated in a waterfront community a short drive from the heart of New Orleans, On Bayou Time welcomes you to our newly renovated slice of sportsman’s paradise.

The home features a bright, open floor plan with a spacious living area that invites you to gather with friends & family. 3 ample bedrooms with memory foam mattresses and both soft and firm pillows for a great nights sleep. The master bedroom features a private, en-suite bathroom.

The real highlight is the outdoor space. The home is raised with plenty of room to gather underneath. Eat a meal outside, relax on the swing, take in the sunset over the water from the screen porch or cast a line right from the bulkhead.
All of this, while still being a short drive to everything New Orleans has to offer. You’ll enjoy a safe and comfortable neighborhood when you’re done with your day of sightseeing.

This was a nice place to stay outside of the craziness of the city on our recent trip to New Orleans with easy access to everything we wanted! There was only 2 of us so it worked out great and the king bed and pillows were the best I've ever had staying anywhere! Was nice to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy a slow morning.

Our host, Rachel was amazing! Very responsive and helpful. She answered every question we had promptly before and during our stay!The property was great, exactly what we were looking for. We couldn’t believe the price for the location, given we stayed during the New Year’s holiday and the Sugar Bowl. The location is just far enough away from New Orleans that you don’t have to deal with the traffic or noise, but close enough to enjoy the day and night on Bourbon St. We really enjoyed our time in Louisiana and will definitely return!

Barataria Rental

Overall, the rental is fine. The dining room and living room furniture is quite uncomfortable for older retired people. The kitchen is only large enough for 1 person at a time. As far as being fully supplied, it was not. We had 4 people staying 6 nights. There was one and a half rolls of toilet paper. Lots of paper towels though. Not what we expected. We may stay again knowing we need to provide more of our own supplies. It would be helpful if all of the bedrooms had rods for hanging clothes. Only the master has one. Also something to set a suitcase on besides the bed would make the stay easier.

Perfect stay, quiet neighborhood

This host does an incredible job at making sure their guests have everything they need. The home is a close drive to downtown New Orleans but far enough to have a rural and quiet feel. We loved the Vietnamese restaurant nearby and the little grocery store had everything we needed. 10 out of 10 and we would definitely stay again.

Great House for Family Vacation

We loved this house outside of New Orleans. Great location near Jean Lafitte and a short drive into New Orleans. As Kansans, we enjoyed the alligator that would float by in the canal. Good communication, clean house.
