Needs To Ramp Up for Business Travellers

Overall this is a good hotel - good cleanliness, good rooms, good service. However, my overall experience was let down by three key experiences: 1. Getting taxis / transport from the hotel to restaurants or the city center. The transport office really need to get their act together. We were charged 1300 rs for a trip to the city center - we found out later that this would cover us in the hotel car for a day, but this was not explained to us at all. When we queried this, we did not get a clear and honest answer. The transport office services should be made widely available to guests in the hotel, and fully explained. 2. The receptionist refused point blank to give use a receipt when we were leaving the hotel. We had to contact the hotel again to get receipts, so that we could claim our expenses from our company. This is such a basic requirement, that frankly I'm completely baffled why it was an issue for us. But it happened! 3. The hotel organizes parties and wedding receptions on some evenings (usually from 7 to 10 pm). I had a room on the fourth floor, but the music was so loud, I could clearly hear it in my room. Go help you if you were on the first floor with that racket going on. This is a big deal as you may be tired and need some rest after arriving, after a busy day, or in preparation for leaving on an early flight.

Comfortable hotel but it has its problems

I found the hotel to be very comfortable and ideally located for my work. Most of the staff are also great. However sometimes service in the bar and restaurant can be very slow. Also, often the reception staff just look at you blankly as if they do not understand you. The receptionist on check-out refused to give me a receipt showing the cost of my stay because I had paid it in advance. However I need the receipt to claim back the costs from my job..... I am still trying to get them to send me a receipt…. Also, on booking I requested a quiet room but 3-4 times I had to complain about the noise. When it was noisy, it was like I was next door to a nightclub. No exaggeration. The noise coming from the function rooms was outrageous and could be heard all over the hotel. Lastly, the people working in the transport office do not tell you what your full options are when looking for local transportation through them or the best prices. I would go so far as to say they are dishonest about it.
