Having stayed at Hilton and Hampton hotels the full length of Britain and abroad, this stay at the Blackpool Hampton by Hilton ranks up there with the worst. I've never encountered a front of service reception staff, so inept, Rude and dismissive of a recurring problem . Very poor communication skills and overall lack of customer service

Definitely not good value for money

We only left this review as hotel.com have repeatedly sent emails to do so. Breakfast was a disgrace even at 7am! Dried up, unappetising. Left without care and no-one seemed to want to listen even if we could have been bothered to mention it. Bed was noisy and saggy, like a 90's budget hotel room. Airy ceiling height and spacious feeling rooms - yet they don't expect you to share a bed perhaps as the bed is virtually touching the bathroom wall. furniture is measured to fit exactly in the space so it's by design. The room thermastat in february was 18 degrees max. Air con unit constantly making noise even turned off throughout the day and night. Restaurant had music playing loudly at breakfast to distract from the cold air conditioning at full blast. Leaving the hotel to get warm in Wetherspoons or draughty local restaurants was better than the hotel. The view was lovely. But this indulgent winter break was memorable for reasons most of us would prefer not to have.

Stay away if you want good customer service.

Terrible stay. I booked an accessible room with two queen beds and organised with one of the managers to have cake and balloons in the room for my son’s 16th birthday. Got there and they had “upgraded” us to the sea view room which had two smaller beds and the room wasn’t accessible meaning my son couldn’t get his chair through the bathroom door, no celebrity items that had been previously arranged, and overall a bad experience. The hotels lovely and clean, nice food however they did nothing that I had previously organised which made for a room which wasn’t fit for use. They did offer a disabled room but it had one bed which obviously wasn’t big enough for three adults. If your disabled looking for a room at the Hampton by Hilton then please think again, it was no good for us.

Nice hotel- shame about the beds!

The hotel was really nice and the room size/cleanliness was great. Good big bathroom. The breakfast was average. Lovely porridge, nice pastries but the hot food wasn't great. The most significant downside though was the beds. We had a quadruple room for my husband and I and our two young children. Both double beds were really uncomfortable in very different ways! One was far too soft and the other you could feel (and hear!) every spring in. Even when you are staying budget in a travel lodge/premier inn the beds are always comfortable and so I think this is something that needs rectifying asap. My husband and I didn't get much sleep (which we felt the next day when we had to get through arcades, gruffalo world and the circus!). If the beds were better we would be back.

The hotel is nice enough but the staff never looked happy or smiled. There were way too many people for the buffet area and the breakfast wasn’t good at all. Sausage, bacon and party tastes cheap. Coffee machine twice ran out of coffee beans so the line up grew. There seemed to be no organisation of the buffet things constantly ran out before they were refilled. Numerous children running around and using elevators as a game. Two children fighting and the mum shouting. The area is on and an easy walk to the tram.
