You get what you pay for. And even that cost way to much. Even then, everything within the room is so generic, that you know every piece of furniture and and amenity is the cheapest possible corporate purchased item to be used within any 'modern' hotel these days. None of them are different. The only difference is a name. And even that doesn't mean much, as all of these hotel chains are obviously owned by the same parent company. There is nothing special here.
Yet, I got to do something I've always wanted to do. Call the hotels IT support. I connect my mobile device without an issue, but the laptop, running a flavor of Arch Linux, refused to connect. So I get on the phone with IT support, and they are completely confused as to how my mobile device is connected to the network, but my laptop wasn't. The reasoning? They couldn't 'ping' the network. Which was odd, as both my laptop and mobile device had an active IP Address. They didn't help at all & told me they would open up a support ticket to 'reboot' the network. I guess that's Tier 1 hotel network support for you. Yet another one of 'corporates' decisions to spend the least amount on anything these days. I kind of felt bad for the 'IT Support' person though, as I've been in their shoes. It's just sad this support team is so under paid and under staffed.
I did get a continental breakfast here, compared to the 'My Place' hotel from within the same area.
This is fine!!!
