Booked months in advance for Alberta Winter Games. We gave 1.5months notice that we didn’t need the first night of our stay wanting to change from Thurs-Mon to Fri-Mon instead, the hotel refused to accommodate and Expedia was zero help. Upon check in we found our room was dirty, towels for 2 people when it sleeps 4 and no smoke detector. Waking early and trying to get out the door the hair dryer didn’t work. Additional towels were an hour wait. Confronting the hotel early morning, we waited 3 days and still zero contact from the manager. Walking through the hotel we found numerous fire code violations and a full smoking floor on the 4th floor which is illegal in Alberta. We notified at check out that we would be reporting and have for the safety of the public.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was ok but would have like more options such as bananas, Bagels were so fresh and there was only plastic knives but I asked for a sharp one which they gave me. The bagel slicer would only squish the fresh bagel. Juice was watered down. Bacon would have been nice . Room was very clean for my 5 night stay. Carpets in the hallway were a bit stained from all the construction workers that obviously stay there . It would be better to have tiles. Hairblower is a bit annoying as it is one that you have to hold the button continuously for it to work. I know it is for safety but challenging when you have wrist issues.Would definitely stay again though.
