HGI-Canton is located in a quiet, forested setting, yet close to the highways into Boston, down to the Cape, or up country to NH and beyond. Also close to a well-known donut shop! We were greeted warmly and a problem with a bedside light was addressed quickly. Our weekdays stay was in contrast to the business folks' schedule, so we never were crowded. One little glitch was a breakfast server who was annoyed that we didn't choose the buffet. Some smiles were coaxed with our happy attitude.

Reduce wasteful plastic water bottles

Rather than offering $3 water in plastic bottles for purchase, I suggest water stations to refill eco friendly bottles. Please do away with plastic as much as possible!

Don’t bother, poor service

Terrible. They re-booked us into a room with a configuration that did not work for us, did not notify us either in advance either through Hotels.com or even when we checked in. Staff’s attitude was clearly that it was not his problem, they were sold out and I could talk to his manager in the morning. Meanwhile, it was 9:30pm and we didn’t have a room. Extremely unprofessional behavior even before we discovered we had the wrong room. Everyone has a bad day, this guy decided his bad day was our problem, apparently.

The hotel is beautiful. The room we had, I was not happy with the window facing other peoples rooms.. I can see in them. Couldn’t have my window open. But overall good stay, great beds, parking and fitness center. They do charge $160 for incidentals.
