The morning of my departure the elevator key didn’t work. I went and spoke with Alberta at the front desk and he said there was something wrong with the elevator and if I wanted to go to each floor I would have to come back to the front desk each time and have him come accompany me to the elevator. So I wasn’t able to use the rooftop also this took like over 15 minutes to sort out I think he didn’t believe me at first when I told him to you the key wasn’t working because he he told me to follow him to the elevator I guess he said he keep my key but then he saw for himself that the actual elevator key Didn’t work so that’s when he said well I would have to go every time I want to come down and go back up I would have to go to the front desk ask him to come with me and you know have him select it correct floor for me. This is hugely inconvenient on top of this they charge for a resort fee $29 but they weren’t able to offer to full amenities. The day I came here they said only one gym was working and it’s a gym not on the property it’s somewhere on another block and they said the gym was closed at 5 PM that day so yeah and I will try to remedy this with the front desk and they said they couldn’t fix it for me

Everything was just wonderful.Tucker greeted us at the front desk. he was super nice, accommodating and knowledgable. We had a beautiful room, comfortable, large, with coffee, fridge, robes. The hotel is small but beautifully decorated, very charming full of antiques. Feels authentic. Breakfast in the morning has great choices . It was fun eating in the restaurant with people circulating through the lobby. I loved everything about it.

Did a lot of research for my first visit to Boston, and I’m so glad we chose the Kendall Hotel - it was exceptional. I especially loved that it’s a historic hotel, which gives it so much character compared to the standard high-rise, cookie-cutter hotel rooms. The location can’t be beat, with easy access to public transportation and very walkable streets. That convenience aside, parking was a bit steep since we had a car with us. For the ambiance, it was a couples trip, and the hotel felt quite romantic, esp. over the 4th of July weekend. We also enjoyed the nice breakfast each morning. The hotel room itself, while not very spacious, was lovely and charming with the decor. The bathroom isn’t the most recently renovated, but it was still clean, and the housekeeping service was wonderful. Highly recommended!
