The 3.500-year-old river continues its journey and reaches the Ionian sea at Ammoudia and the site of the ancient Nekromandio area about 15km away. Hike through the crystal clear waters through a gorge, over historical bridges, viewing the diverse ecosystem which is protected by the Natura Network 2000, under the shades of hundred-year-old sycamore trees. Besides hiking, on the banks of the river you will find great traditional tavernas and you can enjoy horse riding, rafting and swimming in the river. And if it's the sea you want to visit, there are over 6-7 beautiful blue flag beaches just 15-20km away. And of course don't forget to visit Parga (30km), the city of Preveza (45km) and the port of Igoumenitsa (40km)
