We were contacted the afternoon before our arrival that the garage door could not be opened and we wouldn’t be able to use the garage during our stay . We were told that they would try to fix it during our stay, they did not. One of the reasons we selected the property was for the use of the garage during the winter weather and the need for parking spaces for our group. When I asked about an alternative, we were instructed to park a vehicle in town , a very inconvenient and unsecured solution. We asked to cancel but that request was refused. The interior of the property was worn and in some case dirty. The upstairs carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed. The upholstered furniture was worn and dirty. The pillows in the queen bedroom were very flat and uncomfortable. We found some extra pillows in the closet but no pillow cases. The oven mitts should be thrown out as they were filthy. We had to buy hand soap for the bathrooms as the tiny sliver of soap provided was inadequate. I cannot recommend this property .
