Inside, you’ll find a stunning superking bed, warmed by a crackling wood burner, and a stargazing roof window that lets you drift off beneath a blanket of stars. A private bathroom with a hot shower sits within your own private yurt, and your kitchen, fully equipped for relaxed holiday cooking, is right on the deck, making al fresco dining as easy as it is scenic. The outdoor space is yours to enjoy, with garden furniture, a firepit for evenings under the sky, and panoramic views stretching across the countryside and down to the glistening lake below. The setting is pure rural bliss.

This hidden haven is home to two lakes where you can swim, paddle, or simply sit and let the peace settle in. The orchard invites you to wander among fruit trees and birdsong, with footpaths leading you through meadows and fields that seem untouched by time. It’s a place to slow down and reconnect with nature, with loved ones, and with yourself. Despite the seclusion, you’re far from isolated. Just a short walk down the lane brings you to the pub, where you can enjoy a drink and hearty meal in a classic village setting. For those craving the coast, Charmouth Beach is only 12 miles away, perfect for fossil hunting, picnics on the sand, or a windswept walk along the Jurassic cliffs. Nearby, you’ll discover farm shops, country lanes, and market towns rich with character.

Whether you spend your days exploring or simply soaking in the view with a cup of tea in hand, this yurt is your gateway to the quieter, richer rhythms of the Dorset countryside. The owners also host wood-fired pizza evenings in their wood-fired pizza oven using local ingredients. The cost is £15 for adults and £7.50 for children. Beach 12 miles.

From mid October to April, firewood for heating is free of charge. From April to October, first bag is free then £8 per bag for additional wood. This is payable by cash, card or bank transfer to the owner.
