Never again

We have to leave the hotel at 11 PM and the worker at the desk denegate to call efter a cap foa us (two adults and two children) alegating that caps in Buenos Aires only take a max of three passanggers per trip. We checked in the net and got a remise car within 10 minutes. Avoid Hotel Dos Congresos.

Centrally located and comfortable

The hotel is centrally located and comfortable. The personnel was always very helpful. The rooms are comfortable but basic (for example, no mats for the bathroom, resulting in water all over). The only problem we had was that wi-fi internet was not working in the rooms, and we always had to go down to the lobby are to connect.

Great value for money

This hotel is old, but has a fascinating atmosphere. I really liked the place. The location is perfect and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. You can try delicious food for a reasonable price at Borgatta (the restaurant right next to the hotel). There is also a supermarket and a pharmacy shop.

It sucks

This Hotel is a dive. The first room I was given had a broken lock which made impossible for me to either enter or leave the room without calling someone to open the door. I requested another room and was shown a room with twin beds, which is not what I was supposed to be given. I was than given an inside room overlooking a dirty roof with a noisy vent outside my window. I asked for another room and was told that there were no other rooms available except for another inside room with twin beds. By that time i was so disgusted and tired that I took it. Only one pillow had a pillow case and I had to beg for another pillow case, There was a third pillow in the closet which I wanted to use since the pillows were very thin. I was told I couldn't have anther pillow case. This hotel would probably be rated as minus three stars. Yuck!

Disappointing Accomodation

On a five week trip to several cities in Argentina, we found that Dos Congresos was, without doubt, the worst three star hotel in which we stayed. Our first room was over the plaza, perhaps the busiest area of Buenos Aires. If you were to have this room, not only would you get no sleep until two in the morning due to the thousands of cars, buses and people under your window, but you would find a small, cheap bed in a tiny, dingy room with almost no furniture. It was depressing. Refusing this, our second room on the interior of the hotel, overlooking a dark shaft of concrete, had a sleeping loft and double bed, adequate but rating only a one-star designation, at best. All the bathroom fixtures were either cracked or broken. The plastic toilet seat was falling off, the small shelf under the mirror was broken and mold was permeating the grout in the shower and all corners of the floor. We booked this hotel partly based on the photographs, which were taken with a close-up, “fisheye” type lens, which makes the lobby and the rooms look far larger than they are. On the plus side, the breakfast was decent, and there was a mini-bar in the room. In short, I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice room but....

Very nice little room, well kept, clean and very comfortable, front desk staff was very helpful. The two things that made the room not the ideal one were. One, the bathroom was very small, two, the air conditioning was very weak, we were there on a very hot day and the air-conditioning did not and could not keep up even,though it was a very tiny room.

Good experience

Altough its a bit old, I recommend staying in the hotel, the staff is really friendly, the location is highly convenient and safe (altough you should avoid walking inside the plaza at night), there is a metro station right besides it, and the price is good.

Great location, old hotel

2 Congresos is located right in front Argentinian National Congreso, at walking distance to the Obelisco and diferent turistic plazas. The area architecture is classic and this is an old hotel but the people working there is friendly and helpful. Not sure about safety of the area because nothing happened to us, but of course you always should be cautious. You can get buses to pretty much all the touristic places from there. I would go back there.

Instalações Precárias

A cama muito barulhenta, fiquei 15 dias no apartamento 173 sozinha e mal podia me mover na cama. as cortinas sujas e mofadas. O banheiro: cortina plástica que gruda no corpo durante o banho e alaga tudo após o banho, o café da manhã o mesmo todos os dias, não varia. O armário tão pequeno que se usar o cabide não consegue fechar a porta, as toalhas velhíssimas e desgastadas, os ralos abertos sem sistema de vedação, os vidros das janelas imundos e a tarifa altíssima, com relação a má qualidade da hospedagem. O ponto forte é a boa localização e a prestação de serviço dos funcionários.

Die Lage innerhalb der Stadt ist gut. Innerhalb von 20-30 Gehminuten ist die Einkaufsmeile der Ave. Florida erreichbar. Supermarkt und Restaurants in der Nähe. Leider an einer belebten Kreuzung. Auch während der Nacht relativ lärmig. Fenster halten den Lärm kaum ab. Mit offenem Fenster kann kaum geschlafen werden. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein. Nicht alle sind renoviert. Haben während unseres Aufenthalts (viermal dort abgestiegen) Zimmer von schmuddelig bis neu renoviert erlebt. Das Team der Reception war sehr hilfsbereit. Geben gerne Tipps weiter und sind stets freundlich. Die Koffer konnten wir während unserer Kurztrips in andere Städte stets dort lagern. Auf die Taxis zum/vom Flughafen (von der Reception) bestellt, konnten wir uns jederzeit verlassen. Hatten das Gefühl dort willkommen zu sein. Waren eine Familie von 6 Erwachsenen und belegten jedesmal 3 Doppelzimmer. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hat gestimmt. Positiv ist festzuhalten, dass das Frühstück inbegriffen war.

Buena, pero recomendamos consultar por el baño

El hotel tiene buena ubicación, buena atención y buena limpieza tanto en la habitación como en los lugares comunes, también era seguro por la presencia del cofre de seguridad. Pero notamos que no todos los baños son iguales, nuestro baño era muy pequeño, no tenía tina de baño, y el espacio para ducharse era reducido en comparación con otras habitaciones.

Apenas prático

É o típico hotel para você dormir e tomar um banho, nada mais. A localização é boa, com transporte fácil para qualquer ponto da cidade, porém, com estrutura muito antiga e necessitando urgentemente de uma remodelada. A equipe da recepção é atenciosa e estão sempre prontos para atender. Sem mais comentários, mas na próxima, vou procurar outro lugar.

Excelente atendimento

Muito boa! apesar do ar condicionado não estar funcionando no quarto, eles rapidamente nos providenciaram outro. Mas o que realmente fez a diferença foi o ótimo atendimento dos recepcionistas, nos informaram todas as características da cidade os melhores passeios e outros tipos de passeio, o melhores lugares para comer e mais barato, bancos para troca de cambio, fiquei muito satisfeito, para quem não esta interessado em luxo um ótimo custo beneficio.

Buona posizione per la visita della città

Pur non avendo servizi e finiture di livello europeo, l'hotel è sufficientemente confortevole e situato in posizione ottima per la visita della città. La prima colazione è veramente squisita e predispone al meglio ad affrontare la giornata.
