The cottage is not far from Bullaresjön - Vassbotten and here you can both swim and rent a canoe for wonderful paddle trips. Strömstad is a city by the sea with a large selection of activities below summer, rich restaurant life, nice shopping in small shops close by each other and if you feel a salty cooling dip in the summer heat, it's short distance to cliffs, sea and bathing boat out to one of the islands in Strömstad Archipelago. From Strömstad there is also a ferry to Kosteröarna, Sweden's westernmost islands with a resident population.
