WOLFTRAP ON LAKE ANNA — YOUR WATERFRONT RETREAT ON THE WARM SIDE
Welcome to Wolftrap on Lake Anna, a 5-bedroom waterfront home tucked into a private cove on the lake's warm side, the side that stays swimmable well into fall. With 170 feet of deep-water frontage, a private boathouse just steps from the door, and 3,700+ square feet of comfortable living space across two levels, this is the kind of place where weekends stretch into traditions and "just one more day" becomes the running joke of every trip.
Whether you're planning a multigenerational family reunion, a getaway with your favorite group of friends, or a quiet retreat with the ones who matter most, Wolftrap was built for the kind of stay where everyone has space to spread out and just as much reason to gather back together.
BUILT FOR THE WHOLE CREW (SLEEPS 15)
Five bedrooms, three full baths, and 9 beds total, comfortably accommodating up to 15 guests. The layout is intentionally split across two levels to give larger groups privacy without sacrificing togetherness.
The main floor enters from the driveway and welcomes you into an open living space with a gourmet quartz kitchen, a dining area that fits the whole group, a stone fireplace with gas logs, and two bedrooms with easy access to a full bath. Hardwood floors run throughout, and oversized windows pull the lake right into the room.
Downstairs, the finished walkout basement opens directly to the backyard and lake. Three additional bedrooms, a second living area, and a recreation room with a pool table make this the natural hangout for kids, teens, or whichever group claims it first. The walkout means no muddy footprints through the main house, just step out, head to the water, and come back when you're ready.
THE WATER IS THE MAIN EVENT
This is a lake house first, and the waterfront delivers:
- 170 feet of private deep-water frontage on a quiet cove, calm enough for swimming, paddling, and floating, with quick boat access to Lake Anna's main body when you're ready to open it up.
- Private boathouse with 2 covered boat slips, 2 jet ski ramps, a sundeck for laying out, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a swim.
- Lake Anna's warm side: water released from the nearby power plant keeps this side of the lake several degrees warmer year-round, extending your swim and water sport season well past Labor Day. Locals know; now you do too.
- Elk Creek Marina just one mile away for fuel, supplies, boat rentals, and lakeside dining.
- New Bridge a short drive for groceries, restaurants, and weekend supply runs.
Bring your own boat, jet skis, kayaks, or paddleboards. The boathouse and ramps are ready when you are.
MADE FOR RELAXING
After a day on the water, Wolftrap shifts gears effortlessly. Soak in the hot tub under the stars. Gather around the firepit as the kids hunt for the perfect roasting stick. Rack 'em up at the pool table. Pour a glass on the screened porch and watch the sun drop over the cove. That's the moment most guests say sold them on coming back.
Inside, the gourmet quartz kitchen is built for group cooking, with plenty of counter space, full-size appliances, and the kind of layout where two cooks don't get in each other's way. Hardwood floors, a stone fireplace with gas logs, and quality linens throughout make group meals and lazy mornings feel effortless.
When the weather turns cool, the indoor gas-log fireplace and the outdoor firepit make this a true year-round retreat. Plenty of guests find Wolftrap is just as magical in October and February as it is in July.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Wolftrap sits on a quiet, no-wake cove on Lake Anna's warm side, the kind of spot where you can swim off the dock without worrying about boat traffic, but where the main lake is just a short ride away when you want to ski, tube, or explore. The surrounding area is rural, wooded, and peaceful, with limited streetlights and the kind of starry nights that city kids talk about for weeks.
The Lake Anna area is home to wineries, breweries, vineyards, and family-friendly attractions. Lake Anna State Park offers swimming beaches, hiking trails, and picnic areas. Lake Anna Winery and several others nearby make for an easy afternoon outing. Local restaurants range from casual lakeside grills to surprisingly good barbecue and seafood spots.
