If you book through Expedia and anything goes wrong, Holiday Inn will not accomodate. I was given the worst room in the hotel (near the lobby, shared wall with elevators and by the pool-loud) and the AC didn't work (in 30 degree weather). They were in my room late into the night trying to fix it to no avail and brought me a fan saying "we won't charge you for it this time". What? The AC was working the next day when I returned and my room was freezing cold, when I went to turn it down it started making a terrible noise that I'm sure noone could fall asleep to. I went to the desk and the hotel was sold out so they could do nothing for me. The lady at the front desk was kind but you could tell her hands were tied to do anything. Luckily I had a friend staying in the same hotel and just moved to her room so I could sleep on her terrible pull out couch. Even though I didn't sleep in my room, they would not issue any refund to me or through Expedia. I will never stay at a Holiday inn again and they didn't care. Nice facility- sadly, really unhospitable.
When I called the manager the next day I was told she would call back in 20 min- she didn't. I called again today and she said there is nothing they can do because I booked through a 3rd party.
My friend had a terrible time too. They wouldn't accept the company card to pay and our team memebers (staying at different hotel) had to come over THREE times before it worked. We have never had these things happen before.
