This was our last stay on our trip, we wish we would have been able to stay here longer. It was a very comfortable bed, our cabin was closest to the water (room 24). The breakfast the next morning was delicious (muffin, popover, juice, fruit, boiled eggs, coffee) and a great price! If given the opportunity to return to Maine, I would definitely come back to this property.

Upon check in we were told that we were going to be in a room in the main part of the inn instead of the cottage we had booked. When we questioned it we were told it was an upgraded room. When we said we had our hopes on the cottage we were finally told there had been a fire and the cottage wasn’t available. The upgraded room had a king bed in a room that was too small for that sized bed so one us was constantly banging a knee or toe because there was no room to get around it. There was no television, no fridge, no microwave which the cottage was supposed to have. The bathroom was barely a closet and the tub didn’t drain correctly. The main outlet was a power strip on the floor or there was one behind the bureau. The vending machine in the list of amenities didn’t work so grabbing a cold soda was out but they had plenty of bottles of wine. When we looked up to see when the fire happened it was a month before our stay and we booked two months prior, curious why we didn’t get a heads up that our room was changing. Thankfully we brought a cooler with us but there was no chance we were warming any leftover up. The staff was pleasant but never around so luckily we didn’t have any needs. The access ramp to the beach is incredibly steep and the beach although private it mostly large rocks so difficult to explore. The description didn’t really match what we experienced. Only thing that was great was the view from the upgraded room.

Hospitality first and foremost leaves nothing to complain about. Holly is bubbly and seems to work around the clock. Mark also made us feel welcome. The Inn needs a few updates, maintenance from age and weather, but was actively being improved upon the whole time we were there. The prices are very appropriate for the improvements still pending and the area. Nothing is cheap on the coast. Our room was in the main building of the Inn and we found it to be exceptionally clean, very tastefully decorated (Oceanside without anchors or “life is a beach” signage.) The main floor area was gorgeous. It was very much a B&B room and so next time I will select a room that is in one of the stand alone buildings- just our preference; we felt like we should whisper. I would have preferred larger towels and a softer mattress, but these are small considerations for such a nice experience. Well worth it knowing that it’s not a cookie cutter Holiday Inn type room. The view, beach access and smell of the salty air were incredible. We will definitely return.

High Tide Inn is a magical place! The innkeeper Mark is knowledgeable about the area and is very personable. He also makes amazing blueberry muffins as well as turnovers! Find time for breakfast, a walk on the beach and relaxing on the patio. A short distance for the village of Camden and Camden state park. Take a moment to give $6 to the state park and drive to the summit. Amazing views. You won’t be disappointed with your stay at High Tide Inn.

Charming property, great room, looks right out on the water. Owner/manager is super helpful and friendly. Would love to come back! (Some road construction going on nearby and access to beach via a temporary ramp, but assume that is all temporary).

Friendly staff that takes the time to learn their guests names. The outside needs a little work, which they are working on, but the inside so cute with modern upgrades. We already have our second stay booked!

Incredibly helpful and accommodating staff. The property is a beautiful old hotel with some newer motel-like buildings. I stayed in the later type by the ocean. The view was stupendous. There needs to be a fix for access to the beach, which I would assume is coming soon. I did not look at the rooms in the old hotel building but I am hopeful that they are beautiful.

Mark was great! Anything we needed he was right on it! Cute cottage with comfortable bed and nice shower. The view was amazing! Nice picnic, grill area. The outdoor sitting area was very nice with comfy furniture and has fire pit.

Mark was fantastic! He quickly learned our names and used them frequently. He sat with us around the fire pit in the evening chatting with us. Also, very accommodating and available to answer questions, etc. Made our gluten intolerance daughter a special breakfast. They are still working on upgrading the property but seem to be doing a good job. Very nice visit - will definitely return!
