I booked for 5 beds and was initially given a room that could only sleep 4. I was changed over daily promptly however the desk clerk was one the most surly arrogant men I’ve ever dealt with in that position.
I also struggled badly with the intense amount of artificial fragrance in the room as did the whole family but I spent any time we did spend in the room with a horrible headache from the smell. When I raised this with the desk clerk and asked if there was anyway to cover up a portable smell such as a plug in or eco mist style dispenser I was told he had nothing to do with it and it’s housekeeping. Which is a fair call but the way the man spoke to me was rude and dismissive of my actual physical concerns regarding the smell.
This behaviour wasnt just at me, he was short and dismissive with all other check ins.
The bathroom needs a serious scrub. There was no exhaust fan. There was a vent in the wall of the bathroom but the grate kept falling off. The door handle between rooms was a serious concern that it was going to fall off. and lock the kids in the other room!
Overall the venue was quiet and beds were clean and enough space for 5 people to stay in.
Room was a good size have stayed here before but didnt know some rooms had a kitchenette so was very happy with the room we had would stay again when in Canberra but will only book the kitchenette rooms
Check in was smooth and easy, the room was very large with super comfortable beds. There wasn't any plates or cutlery in the rooms, but I was able to get a spoon from reception. There was a persistent drip in the toilet, but otherwise, everything was extremely clean and of a high standard.
Very happy with our stay. Building is older however it is being maintained an appears that any identified issues are being progressed. We would definitely stay again.
Pleasant easy stay. Nothing flash but friendly and clean. Had a charging station, which worked well. And a good cafe next door, with excellent coffee. A bit of road noise, but not too bad. The biggest down side is the water pressure for the shower was lacking.
Beds comfy, bathroom and shower good. No storage for anything in bathroom. Only one bedside table but no drawers. Room size good. Staff friendly. Plenty of parking around.
Should not rent out rooms that are clearly UNSUITABLE to be rented. Broken, dirty, derelict area, useless staff. Absolute worst accommodation I’ve ever had (and I travel ALOT for kids sorting commitments
Loved staying here, staff and other guests were lovely to chat to. Room was clean if I needed anything I just had to ask. Was here for a week and will definitely be back next time I’m in town visiting my daughter.
