Live on the island- did a little staycation

Super clean a little bit of confusion with the check-in desk. However, my person that I was in contact with Carlos was absolutely wonderful I highly recommend.

Isla Paradise

Exactly what we expected, and more!! Scenery was spectacular, accommodations clean and perfect for the beach, sunset, walking anywhere, convenience to shops, Miguel Hidalgo, And more importantly access to any other very expensive/impressive beach restaurants, decks, pools, etc (steps away, I mean steps in the sand). Awesome arrangement for a third of the cost! Great place to hide/park your golf cart, in-fact like having your personal spot!! For OCT this couldn’t have been more economical. Property people were very friendly, and as requested, helpful to our needs. Just a note, !this is a beach location, so for you snobs who want a deluxe cabana on beach with perfectly lined cobblestone to your door, then go to the other more elaborate places available ($$$$) and leave the room availability to people who understand where they are how to enjoy a Good thing!!😎

I arrived to Isla. I was never given information on checkin. The contact information went straight to voicemail. I had to book a differerent property. And I was given only 10% back of my original payment.

Stay at Isla

Loved the view and modern vibe of the place. Didn't like the seaweed that washed up on the beach and was never picked up by the personal. The rooms need lamps and tables along with comfy places to read.

False advertisement

My husband and I booked this ocean view property as part of our honeymoon and are sad to say that we were not impressed. The room we were given was not the room shown in the photos. The pristine ocean view shown in photos is not at all what you get… the view is instead of the back of a building with community washrooms for the hotel, at ground level so many people are constantly walking by. It was really unpleasant, you wouldn’t even want to have your blinds open because of the people constantly walking by looking in. The description of this room being new…. I’m not sure what new means here but it felt extremely dated and overall just not nice or clean. It felt like an echoey box, not at all what I was expecting based on the photos. The host was very slow to respond via messages, but thankfully answered the phone the second time we called. He acknowledged the room in the photos is not the one we were in, and offered us another room on the top floor. It also is not the one shown in the photos, but we agreed to stay in that one because it felt safer and more secluded. As for the location, the hotel is right on the beach. So close that the driveway is the sand. There is a bar and restaurant there which is convenient but pretty pricey. Overall, I’m thankful that we were offered another option in the hotel but had that not been the case we 100% would have found somewhere else to stay because of how terrible the room we were originally given was. Definitely book with caution & confirm that the one you are booking is not at ground level or you’ll be really disappointed.
