St Dogmaels is known for its friendly community and rich history, centred around the atmospheric ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey, just a short walk from the cottage. The abbey grounds host the popular Tuesday local produce market, where you can browse artisan food, crafts, and fresh local goods while soaking up the village’s relaxed riverside atmosphere. A variety of restaurants, cafés, traditional pubs, and an organic vegetable shop are all within easy walking distance, making it easy to enjoy the village on foot.

Just a 7-minute drive away, Poppit Sands offers a wide, dog-friendly beach ideal for families, couples, and long coastal walks. Mount Gernos makes an excellent base for discovering the best of West Wales — from invigorating coastal hikes and relaxing beach days to exploring Cardigan’s independent shops, vibrant arts scene, and outstanding local food.

OUTSIDE
The rear lawned garden is situated behind the property (up the steps). Spectacular views from the garden. There is parking for one car on the driveway ( need to reverse out of the space), but there is no front garden.
