The bright, open-concept living area is well-appointed for comfortable group gatherings, and a breezy, furnished balcony is the perfect spot for morning coffee or sunset cocktails. The house was beautiful and exactly as pictured! The location was very safe, quiet, only 4 blocks from the beach, with space enough for parking 3 SUVs.A couple of notes for the owner: the slats in the outside shower are the same width and distance apart as the slats of the fence - any neighbor can look through the fence and get peeks of whoever is in the shower from all directions.It would be nice to have a table or seating in the backyard, along with a grill.If you're not going to have dressers for clothing in the bedrooms, add some cubbies or more hangers or shelves to the closets of the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms. It was inconvenient to have to keep my full bag on the floor when I only had about a foot and a half of space on each side of the bed to walk around the downstairs bedroom. The dogs loved it and my apologies for the mountain of dog hair they left! If there was a broom & dust pan for guest use, I would have swept! The main living space was really comfortable between the kitchen, dining area, living area and deck, really nice flow and tons of seating - all in all, I would stay here again with a couple of little tweaks! Great house for a great price :)

house was okay. main issue was kitchen. it was very dirty. appliances need replaced ASAP. dishwasher did not clean dishes and could be a fire hazard. most dishes, cups, utensils etc were really dirty and needed to be washed by hand prior to using. stove was very erratic with temperature as were stove burners. there are better rental options.

Overall was a fine rental. Location is great, unit was overall quiet and there were other renters in the adjacent unit. Decent walk to the beach, which is important as town of CB absolutely gouges for parking.Would be nice if kitchen had "normal" dishware and pretty sure the dishwasher is not doing it's job. Not sure why the AC was on a schedule for 67 degrees and checkout instructions said to set to 73? I thought I had deleted the schedule each day, only for it to be freezing inside the next morning. I realize the previous renter might have set it, but why didn't my "fee" cover someone checking the AC settings? While I would not call the unit dirty, a bunch of little things added up to our not being happy. I wouldn't usually have called for small issues, but drains not draining was not right. To their credit, the drains were resolved the next day and we were told we would get half our cleaning fee back for all the cleaning issues. Problem then was getting Vacasa to actually do that. They finally did over a week later after I said I would just dispute with the credit card. As mentioned, dishwasher does not appear to be working, we had to hand wash grit off every dish/glass we used. Funny thing is looking back at other reviews, all these things were mentioned, but have to wonder if those renters never told anyone, or home owners don't care about the complaints in review. Overall, place was decent an location was awesome. Just be prepared for having to do your own cleaning.

Property was clean and very nice. Dishwasher didn’t work as well as it should, the fridge gave us problems being cold enough at first (our ice cream nearly melted being in the freezer), & had to keep readjusting the thermostats. Overall it is a nice place & is very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Mackerel House

The house was very nice HOWEVER the sofa was AWFUL. It was so dirty it literally smelled. Fortunately our son lived in Carolina Beach so he could go home and get blankets and Frabreeze to cover it so we could use it. The TV remotes were not working properly at all. One guest could turn off their TV and another rooms TV would automatically go on. Minor as it may seem, the kitchen silverware was not good. We loved the neighborhood and the condo was sufficiently supplied. happened time and time again

Me, my wife, and 1 yr old son stayed in Mack 1 for our 3 year anniversary. We booked this listing under the impression a golf cart was included. The reviews mention multiple previous renters utilizing the golf cart and a picture of the golf cart was in the listing pictures when we booked. Upon arrival after picking up glass out of the driveway (it was offered to come clean up and I declined as I had already picked it up because I didn’t want my 1 yr old getting hurt) I inquired about golf cart keys/charging cable. I was told the golf cart wasn’t listed as an amenity for the home. Very disappointing and false advertisement in my opinion as the listing had a blatant picture of golf cart (deleted now), reviews stated previous renters utilized the golf cart, and the golf cart is on the property. We were not offered any compensation for this. Do not be confused by the other reviews, the golf cart IS NOT included with this property. The location is good about 5 blocks from the beach I believe. Decent fenced in area for pets. Outside shower does work. Like other reviews mention, there are a lot of scuffs on walls throughout the house and a coat of good paint would go a long way on this property. As we arrived, we followed the trash truck, evidently the cans for this property were not set out because both were full the entire stay. All furniture seemed ok with exception of the couch which was worn and had slight smell. I’d also recommend adding a grill to property and more pots/pans.

Minor maintenance needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The golf cart was the best addition as you don't have to pay to park at the beach. The home is well decorated and modern. Pros-comfortable bed, golf cart, wonderful couch, tons of places to sleep. The bedding was very comfortable and pretty! Cons-this didn't affect us, but might some. The previous guests left dog poop in the back yard. There was trash on the side of the yard in several places. (in saying this, we don't know if it was from the wind or not). We could have used some blankets. The bedding is pretty but lightweight; most people like to sleep a little colder at night but we couldn't. There is one blanket on the couch. This suggestion didn't affect us-the entire inside is painted with flat paint. It is really getting scuffed easily and esp in the bathroom. If it is ever repainted, I suggest a possible eggshell paint to like classy but also can be cleaned (ESP in the bathroom which had a ton of streaks from the water). Gorgeous property!

Amazing Getaway

We were somewhat skeptical of this property due to the limited number of reviews but we had an amazing stay! The property was pristine and had more than enough space to accommodate everyone in our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kiddos) and the location was close to everything we needed. To top things off, there is even a golf cart provided which seats 6; we were able to get to the beach, restaurants, and boardwalk in a flash.
