Exceptional service and perfect location! We had a wonderful stay at El Marques Hotel. The property is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Cartagena's Walled City. What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service; Alejandra and Sharon were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay

We truly loved our stay here. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. Our room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The pool area was peaceful and relaxing, and dinner in the evenings had such a great vibe — especially with the live band. Highly recommend!

The staff were so nice, and it was such a nice respite after the liveliness of being in the Walled City. It’s a beautiful, classically renovated mansion. The AC was cool and they have a backup generator for the blackouts.

Lovely hotel, very conveniently located and with a friendly staff. Sadly, there is no restaurant on site that serves food other than a basic breakfast option, which was barely OK. Our room door did not close properly, and while we reported it, it was never fixed. Additionally, the housekeeping staff forgot to restock the room water bottles and refill shower supplies and toiletries, so we had to be requesting this with the front desk. Overall, our stay was quite nice, but these little mishaps prevented it from being truly unforgettable. Lastly, if you need an accessible guest room, consider somewhere else, because all rooms at El Marques require you to climb steps and carry your baggage through the staircase (no elevator on site).

The room was not adequated. My husband and and I are mature adults and the room had 3 levels, with many (I think 32) spiral stairs. The bed is in the highest level and the bathroom in the second (with an aditional stairs). We asked for a changed but at night the hotel is attended by a young man without any authority and the managers are absent.

Hotel Marqués Boutique exceeded our expectations! The staff went above and beyond—special thanks to Wilson for his kindness, Dillan for helping with reservations and great restaurant tips, and Bryan for a warm check-in. I liked the fact that it was located right in the heart of everything. I walked out the front door and the shops and restaurants were right there. The only thing I did not like was once you set foot off the property that you were sometimes accosted by persons selling stuff but I know that is not and issue from the hotel.
