The room was clean and in good shape. I appreciated the refrigerator and the microwave. Breakfast was the normal fare at the usual time. I wish it was available for a bit longer. Not all of us are "early birds". It was great that the hot tub was working. I wish that there were "adults only" times. The screaming kids just ruined the relaxation factor.

One of the staff there is not friendly at all, or, at least not friendly to people of color. Upon check-in, I greeted her and said “good afternoon”. Her response was:”Last name?” I had to repeat my greeting to make sure she hears me and demand a respectful greeting response (I don’t accept or tolerate disrespect, especially in front of my spouse and two young daughters). She greeted me back, grudgingly though. Her manners are very different with other guests (white people).

Nothing special about the property. Just average. I was definitely disappointed that I had to carry my suitcases up a flight of stairs. No elevator access to the second floor. I didn’t realize that this property has outside access to rooms.

Soft Pass

It was OK for a one night stay, traveling through. Locking the doors without an easy way to get in was inconvenient. No place to take pets to do their business. Coffee at breakfast was no more than colored water. We will probably stay elsewhere and pay a few dollars more, if ever needing to stop at Casper.

The hot tub and pool area were extremely hot and congested. Bathroom was outdated and beds were super small and uncomfortable. Overall ok for a quick one night visit but wouldn’t recommend River Hotel across street looks worse so I’d recommend this on over that one
