Upeat näkymät, oma uima-allas, ihastuttavat puutarhat ja omat metsät ja villi kukkaniitty, Margnac on täydellinen maaseudun retriitti, jossa voit rentoutua ja tutkia Dordognen legendaarista ruokaa ja kulttuuria. Nauti lasillinen jäähdytettyä Bergeracia viiniköynnöksellä suojatulla terassilla tai ruokailla ulkosalla grillialueella lähellä uima-allasta. Sisätiloissa talo on viihtyisä, valoisa ja ilmava. Valo virtaa L-muotoiseen olohuoneeseen, ruokasaliin ja keittiöön terassille johtavien ranskalaisten ikkunoiden läpi. Olohuone on mukava paikka rentoutua puuhella, satelliitti-tv, DVD-soitin ja paljon kirjoja. Neljä mukavaa makuuhuonetta tarjoavat todellisen poissa kotoa. Kaksi niistä on omat kylpyhuoneet ja siellä on kolmas perheen kylpyhuone, joten tiloista ei koskaan puututa. Lovely location for a holiday with pretty villages and fields all around. Very private. Enjoyable pool and sunsets. The weather was very hot in August (35-40 C) and the pool was a necessity - water temp naturally rising above 30 C. There is one double bedroom upstairs, one twin bedroom below it, and then the other two twins are downstairs at the other end of the house. Bathrooms were all spacious. Very well equipped for crockery and cutlery. Some updates to the kitchen, linens and to the outside furniture would be beneficial. The caretaker was responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Beautiful, tanquil location - it was a pleasure driving 'home' each day through the sunflowers and wheat fields. Somany gorgeous villages with stately Romanesque churches within a 30minute drive. The house is generously equipped and has quality furnishings, but there are a few things that need an update or a service - iron, toaster, door hinges, clothesline, and the kitchen is due for an update (wonky shelves and tatty paint) and the satellite TV reception is problematic. Overall it was a pleasant stay, especially once the heat abated (July temps of 35C!)

Tolles Haus, sehr schöne Lage

Das Haus war wirklich sehr schön. Es ist groß und die drei Bäder sind auch sehr praktisch. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gut, auch die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Nicht alles top modern, aber ein guter Standard. Der Pool ist hervorragend. Es ist ein großes Grundstück - mit großer Wiese und einigen Obstbäumen. So gibt es auch an heißen Tagen genug schattige Plätze. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, man kommt sofort auf schöne Wanderwege. Der nächste Bäcker und andere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ein wenig entfernt - ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut. Noch ein Tipp: Fliegengitter an den Schlafzimmer-Fenstern wären gut. Mücken gab es im Juli/August kaum, aber doch viele andere Insekten.

Relaxing stay in beautiful location

Very spacious property for family of 5. Lovely outdoor space and a great pool, much used in the heat. Area is delightful - easy access to Brantôme, Perigeaux, Ribérac (fabulous Friday market) and numerous relaxed restaurants.

Bien mais déçu

La maison est correcte et bien équipée mais la qualité et le ménage laisse à désirer: tout est réparé à moitié, une tringle à rideau s'est arrachée, les autres ne vont pas tarder. Nous avons dû réparer nous même un transat qui était cassé à notre arivée. Coté propreté, les sols et salles de bains étaient propres mais poussières sous les tapis et cuisine hyper sale : nous avons tout relavé avant utilisation, y compris frigo, four et micro-onde. Jamais vu ça!

Lovely holiday home on a beautiful location

Beautiful house and pool to enjoy a perfect holiday. The pool was very clean and good size. The sun and nice temperatures made it even better. The house has a lot of privacy, and the area is very pretty. Great place to stay.

Relaxing peace and quiet

Wonderful week of relaxing by the pool and BBQing. It was extremely hot but the house had fans in the bedrooms which were appreciated. Used the village bar for croissants a few times and ventured out. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is great for river swimming and Riberac Market probably best on Fridays. Host was great at communication and the house was pretty much exactly as we expected from the photos. Would return.

We had a wonderful stay. The location and views were perfect for us. Will very much miss sitting on the terrace watching the most amazing sunsets. We went out most days visiting river beaches, caves and beautiful villages. We loved this part of the Dordogne as a lot quieter than the South. Most trips were about 30 mins drive. Kayaking in Brantome was a lot of fun. Our longest day trip was to St Jean de Cole but worth the 45 min or so drive. We ate out a couple of times and would recommend the little restaurant in La Tour Blanche. We loved the pool and the house has everything you need. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Très belle maison, vue magnifique

La maison est très agréable à vivre avec ses 2 espaces nuits bien séparés, ses 3 salles de bain, et la terrasse avec très belle vue dégagée. Le jardin est réalisé avec goût et très bien entretenu. La piscine est de taille et profondeur satisfaisantes pour jouer avec les enfants mais aussi faire quelques longueurs.

Wonderful house and outdoor eating areas. The pool was well used during France’s heatwave days. Loved the rural outlook and walking along country roads with very few cars to disturb the peace. Also really good region for bike riding. Would go back in a shot.

Charmant séjour... un peu poussiéreux

La maison de Margnac est lumineuse, bien située et agréable. Notre séjour s'est dans l'ensemble bien déroulé et nous n'avons eu aucun mal à contacter la propriétaire. Nous avons cependant tous été incommodés par la vétusté des tissus présents dans la maison (tapis, moquettes, coussins, matelas...). Un nettoyage approfondi voire quelques nouveaux aménagements seraient à prévoir pour un meilleur confort dans ce lieu qui reste charmant et merveilleusement reposant.

Peace and quiet in the Dordogne countryside

A wonderful, relaxing stay in a superb property with very nice gardens and an excellent pool. Lovely views over the countryside and the only sounds are the birdsong and the distant frog chorus at dusk - very quiet and peaceful. The area is wonderful too and we recommend Brantome, Bourdeiles and Aubeterre for day trips. Riberac is also pleasant and has good shops and a great Friday market.

A wonderfully enjoyable family holiday

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Margnac. The house is very big and has everything you need for your stay. We all adored the pool, and as the weather was so good we didn't get much beyond here and the BBQ! The views from the terrace are stunning with wonderful sunsets, whilst cloudless nights reveal an awesome vista of stars. We would certainly consider a return holiday.

Beautiful house and pool in a quiet rural setting

Lovely house in a quiet rural location. We had a family holiday (ages from 15 to 79!) who enjoyed a week in July 18. Of course it helped that the weather was fantastic, but the layout of the house and beautiful pool meant that all of us had a wonderful time. This is clearly a family home and there were some nice touches like extra pool inflatables, 2 bikes available for use, and a barbecue. The small village of Celles is approx 15mins walk and has a small bar (also provides bread and croissants but get there early!) Riberac is the main town approx 10mins drive away and has supermarkets, shops, banks etc with a lovely Saturday market in the town centre. I would also recommend exploring St Austier, Grand Brassac, and Perigeux. There are opportunities for kayaking, cycling and walking, and to explore (for those who like it) some caves nearby. I would thoroughly recommend this house for people looking for an authentic French quiet holiday in a rural setting. There are many local restaurants for evenings out, and lovely villages to see locally. There are also larger towns/cities and coastal areas within reach. Great time! We will come back!

Magnificent setting. Beautiful house. Great pool and gardens.

The house is set in such a beautiful area which is extremely quiet and has amazing views over surrounding countryside. The gardens are well maintained and mature. The weather was fabulous and we were very pleased to have the pool. We went kayaking on the river Dronne twice which was a real eye opener. We visited nearby restaurants and the market in Riberac. All in all an amazingly restful holiday.
