Although room was very clean, my husband had to unscrew the light outside our window due to it being so bright. There were no curtains just shutters on the inside windows and light was blaring. We left on Sunday night instead of checking out Monday.

This property is on busy US17, and traffic was often heavy and fast. It is convenient to the road and freeway system, but Charleston is traffic choked. The tourist district is 15 to 20 minutes away. The staff was friendly and the service excellent. The rooms are small. There is no closet (4 stout hooks on the wall next to the sink), and it requires some movement to close the door to the bath/toilet area. The property has obviously been upgraded relatively recently and is quite pretty. It sits next to a marsh that is quite lovely.

The location was great for us as we were traveling to see the plantations along the Ashley River Road and we were traveling by motorcycle so we did not want to go the interstate. 61 is a great scenic route and was very close to the hotel.

Scenic and Relaxing Stay

Charleston Creekside was in a very convenient and scenic location on the marsh. The room was comfortable and clean and had very good water pressure in the shower. The Smart TV was a good feature. Breakfast was adequate for our taste with waffles and egg and sausage casserole.

Bathroom was disgusting, particularly the shower and shower fixtures broken; smoke alarm was covered by masking tape (probably by previous person who wanted to smoke, but housekeeping should have seen that when they cleaned the room); the air conditioner ran all night and sounded like a loud washing machine; and the windows had plantation shutters and light shown through … no way to darken the room while sleeping.

Not what we remember :(

Not what we remember! Stayed a year ago and even recommended it to friends. Sorry to say it is vey noisy at night because of the restaurant across the street. Drag racing going on. Needs furniture to sit on not just the bed. Breakfast was quick and warm.
