Great chic hotel in one of the most desirable areas downtown Charleston. The hotel has changed over the years and the most recent remodeling effort has taken away all of the historic features of this property which we found disappointing. That said, it does have a modern, chic vibe so if you're into that, this hotel is a great option. We are did have a problem with unpleasant odors in the halls and coming from the stairwell that made its way into our room during part of one of the days during our stay.

Excellent staff, services, and a very cool looking place. Rooftop bar was great, and location of hotel was perfect. Rooms need some TLC though, as the building is old and converted. Overall, a great stay and would definitely consider staying again if in Charleston.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful hotel. A few suggestions: The LED lights in the bathroom were extremely bright. Dimmers are suggested. The ceiling vents were unsightly.

One night I had no hot water, was fixed the next day. There was a problem with some flies in the room, never heard the final resolution on that. Great location, good service comfortable room. I would stay again.

This is truly an arthouse hotel. Modern Art everywhere, free reception and art tour. Service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially all the art. We didnt realize we booked an interior room with no windows, but we really weren't in the room except to sleep. Wonderful and helpful staff.
