This was okay for our quick get-away. However- I wanted to note a couple of things that came up during our stay: The room we stayed in had a large (1-2 inch) gap underneath the entrance door. We felt a little bit uncomfortable with it so we stuffed a rolled up towel in the gap during our stay inside the room. We received a call from the front desk around 11:30-11:45PM asking if we were taking a shower/had already taken a shower.. I couldn’t quite understand the reasoning but I am hoping that it was a one off thing? We luckily hadn’t been long gotten to bed but I was a little concerned about the timing of the call. Front desk staff member at check in and the breakfast crew were friendly enough and the room was otherwise okay for what we needed for a 1 night stay.

Our first room had some kind of a plumbing issue, where we heard a really loud noise when someone nearby used toilet (not sure if it was next door or above). It actually woke me up it was so loud. After we complained, we got moved to another room, which was better. Room itself was nice. Staff was not super helpful or nice when we explained about our room issue. Nice hot breakfast. About 15 minutes drive from downtown. Area seemed safe.

I don't even know where to begin. 1 out of 2 elevators sounded like it was on its last leg, AC unit sounded like it was dying, walls are so thin I could here the people in the next room peeing and talking. Shower head loose, when first turned on sprayed from joint all over, when hand tightened the water pressure was a mist (no option to adjust), couldn't get all the shampoo out because of this. Behind the main door was a piece of food that has probably been overlooked a few times. walls patched but not painted, bed has a permanent body indent in it making it impossiple to sleep anywhere except the middle indent. the pillows were barely stuffed with anything and the front desk was quick to tell you upon checking in that there's not any extras, but with the three stacked they were still flat. 4 channels on the TV is all you get. 2 inch gap under the door leading to the hallway made it easy to hear everything that went on our there, and at all times.

No TV because it rained on 0ct 11th, 2025 We chose this hotel to bring our son from the Citadel to watch the USC game. Front desk said no TV because they have satellite issues when it rains. This is 2025, correct? Secondly- there was a plastic grocery bag on our smoke detector. They told me it would be corrected but they never showed. When i called to complain after neither issue was resolved, they told me i could check out. Customer service at it's best. Very disappointing.

Easy and plentiful parking. Only a 5 minute drive to the local Walmart and a gas station next door. A 10 minute drive into downtown Charleston where we found plentiful parking (early October). Not the newest hotel but our room was clean and towels and linen was fresh. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. I would stay here again for a budget Charleston option
