The studio suite is located on lower level while the owner lives on the upper level of the home. The suite has its own private entrance and outdoor patio. My home is close to everything that Chemainus has to offer - Kin Beach and the very best Thai Restaurant in Chemainus is around the corner. Everything is within walking distance - Latte and Expresso coffee, Shopping,, a market and world famous murals that illustrate the history of Chemainus. Also Live Dinner Theatre, golfing, hiking trails. You may want to take a day trip to Thetis Island. This ferry is 1 block from my house. Lots of fun and adventure to be had in our beautiful little town on the sea.

Quaint and cozy private studio that was very well appointed with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent — very close to the ferry, shops, and everything we needed. Sandy was a wonderful host: friendly, responsive, and quick to communicate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

This is an ideal property for a couple. It is quiet and comfortable and reasonably priced. The cottage is within walking distance of restaurants and the theatre in Chemainus, a charming town to visit. The studio has a comfortable bed and furniture. It is in a residential neighbourhood and close to a regional park on the ocean. We recommend it.

I needed a simple studio for a workshop I was taking in the area. I didn’t spend much time at this property other than to sleep, but it had everything I needed and was perfectly located. Communication w owner was outstanding she was so kind and had great recommendations. Beautiful area and some great restaurants and a lovely park on the waterfront all within walking distance.

Ad was misleading. You think you're getting an upstairs sunny balcony with 2 chairs, but you get a basement suite which is dark, damp and the view of an unkept fenced area. There’s a dangerous entrance with loose bricks held with spikes to trip on. It was clean and centrally located but we would not recommend this place.

Property is thoughtfully designed for function and comfort. It was more impressive than the pictures shown. We enjoyed having our coffee, which our host thoughtfully provided with fresh cream,in the side garden. The rainfall shower was huge and the linens were new and fresh. The location was quiet but near the beach and restaurants in the old town. Perfect stay and spot!

Suite was excellent overall, with a lovely private garden and wooden fence, perfect location, lots of windows, and the most comfortable bed and pillows ever! The only issue was quite small in comparison to all the lovely qualities and that is the shower caulking is in need of a refresh. However, I would definitely stay here again in the future. The kitchen and suite was stocked well with necessary equipment, cleaning/bathing products, towels, and bedding.

Bright ground floor unit with all the listed amenities, although we ate out for all meals. Coffee and tea available to start the day. We easily walked all around the area. So many murals in the downtown area!! Nice to see the older homes from days gone by. Smaller beach 1/2 block away. Visitor info had good options for things to do in the district.Loved the Chemainus bakery around the corner for 7 am fresh sausage rolls and yummy pastries. Took the old valley highway drive to Merridale Cidery, beautiful property, excellent menu (try the charcuterie) and delish ciders. Many of the local wineries are closed M/Tu. Nice to see smaller towns off the main hwy.

Wonderful little cottage in a quiet community
The check in process was extremely easy. The list ofrequirements and expectations was straight forward and to the point. The mattress was like sleeping like I have never slept. The decor and anesthetic was pleasing. Sue was a delight to deal with and I know when I'm back out this way I will be checking for availability with her property
