Clean but felt like kindergarten

It’s the second time I stay at this hostel. This time was better than the last one, the room and facilities were clean. I don’t know if there was an event or if I missed something cause there were children (8-10yo) playing, yelling and running all over the common areas all day long, it felt like a kindergarten playground…

The building next to the hostel is abandoned and there are some homeless people sleeping there but it isn’t too bad. I was traveling alone and I didn’t feel unsafe. The lockers in the rooms don’t have locks so you have to take yours or buy one there in the front desk ($8). You can leave your bags there before checking in for free. I stayed only for one night but it was pretty good. I recommend it.

Hidden fees and bedbugs

It’s written in the description of the property that they provide with a secured locker. In reality, they provide with A locker but not secured. They then force you to buy a lock with a key. They could have written this more clearly in the ad. The bedsheet had a stain, so I asked to change the bed which they did. But my skin was itchy all night. I suspect that they have bed bugs or something alike.

Check in is 4pm. Period and checkout is 11am period. If you are late checking out, you get charged a 1/2 day and if you're not there by 3pm, you get Chaya full day. If you think you might not make the 11 am check out, I recommend checking your bag at the hostel. They will hold it for you until 9pm for 4 dollars.
