We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very kind and helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was modern, clean, and comfy. We both agreed that it was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve slept in and actually took pics of the mattress in hopes we could purchase one for our home 😂. The restaurant downstairs has the same great service and great ambiance along with delicious food.

The hotel and room were excellent. The only thing that wasn't good was that our room faced the side alley and the garbage bins get emptied about 2am. Repeated loud banging of the dumpsters getting emptied was annoying.

Would definitely stay here again. Great location, king river view room was lovely (though not a direct river view, you can see it from the window seat), excellent amenities, welcoming staff, and the hotel restaurant (Perilla Steakhouse) was wonderful. The only thing to point out is that another hotel nearby (Hilton Garden Inn) has intermittent union protests outside. If you're on that side of the hotel and plan to spend any time in your room, the noise may be a problem. If your room is on the N. Wabash Ave side or the alley side, it's not much of an issue. It's unfortunate that a union action at an unrelated property is impacting this unique and special hotel, but just be aware of this when booking. The management was helpful in relocating others in our group who were impacted by the noise, but it could be an issue when the hotel is fully booked.

The Holiday Inn next door is having a staff/management union dispute. The staff is on the street w a drum and megaphone. It was deafening in our 4th floor river view room. The staff moved us, refunded the difference and then sent us comped snacks. Great hotel. Restaurant is fantastic, Perilla.

Good location in a loud city. Rooms are more spacious than most, with plenty of space for everyone to have their carryons out. Room was clean with scuffs here and there, dirty vent, and a single sink with a clean shower curtain. A great value considering we were hardly in our room. Do the happy hour at the associated restaurant. Staff was excellent

A new find!

We come to Chicago often, and are always looking for nice places to stay. This was our first time at L7. We were well treated, got a large room on a high floor with a river view, as we requested. Good coffee maker and fridge in our room. Room was spacious with excellent view of the river walk. Our only complaint was that one of our 2 windows was very dirty so we couldn’t see out as well as we wanted.Got an amenity for my birthday, which we appreciated. We really liked this place and plan to come back.

The room was clean with good view. Love the big seat bench. Great location and close to the magnificent mile. Very walkable. Staff was responsive when i mentioned that lamp knob had fallen off. It was fixed quickly.

Fabulous location for exploring downtown Chicago. Nice amenities such as filtered water in the rooms for drinking and free coffee from 6am- 6pm daily. We loved our stay here and would stay again!
