The motel is a short walk from multiple shops and within easy access of central Christchurch. Undergoing painting and not at its best, the motel was nevertheless adequate for my purposes. A wardrobe rather than a coat/hat stand would have been preferable and for any lengthy stay would be, this would not have been optimum

The front desk was very accommodating in letting me leave my bags at the desk since I arrived off the plane before I could check in, and then I explored Christchurch on foot. The room was spacious and well laid out with a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, and dishes. The only thing is that the motel is next to a busy street so it was a bit noisy, but the street calmed down during the night.
