Exactly what you'd expect from a motel. Room was very clean so that's a plus. Very poor customer service, the person behind the counter was passive aggressive and made it seem like a chore while checking us in.

The motel itself is fine. The staff are efficient but not overly welcoming. The location itself however is very noisy from the busy street, not great for light sleepers I suspect. Dining options in the area are also very limited.

We stayed at this place twice during our 8 days South Island trip. Good stop over place to stay from Christchurch to Queenstown and Te Anau for Milford sound cruise and return. Would definitely stay here for future trip South.
