I have stayed here lots of time previously and I think the bed in the accessible room needs to be upgraded and buy some new beds please. It’s a bit hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. Also there is construction going on in the site next door. It’s quite noisy first thing in the mornings. About 7:15 which is ok if you have had a comfortable night but too early otherwise. What about a warning on the website so people have a choice? To stay or not. Next time I want to go here I will phone first for an update on noise.

Close proximity to the CBD and some nice cafés (especially Affogato, a short walk away). Convenient off street and on-street parking. My only concern was with the bed that probably should have been replaced a while ago. Otherwise, good, clean, basic accommodations. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We borrowed an outlet adapter from them as ours didn’t work in NZ. We have asked our tour guide to return it to the hotel as the tour guide couldn’t stop at the hotel location. We hope he’ll return the adapter to the hotel soon. Thank you City Center Hotel for your kind help and understanding! Next time when we come to Christchurch, we’ll stay with you again.

Unfortunately I had a fall up the steps on my arrival and hit my head on the stairs and grazed my leg. There was no Report made or follow up by the Staff member and she didn’t even tell anyone higher up. There was no follow up to make sure I was okay either.

This was a very affordable option. There is some basic refreshing - painting etc that needs doing but overall very comfortable /good bed able/ to make a cuppa though always hate the lack of fresh milk There is no reception early morning and evening but they facilitated my entry OK I would consider using again
