The property itself was okay, but the let down is how it was marketed as ‘luxury’ and the price and images make it out to be a prestigious and luxurious house. However there were scuffs over the walls, the stairs are industrial ones with chips all over them, the sofa uncomfortable, there is just one shower but the shower leaks, no bath, no nice extra amentities...not something luxurious that you see in other places. The beds were comfortable, the place clean and the communication good- but it was a let down for what I was expecting. If you market it as luxurious, it really needs to go that extra yard and this does not. Also if you have a big car, good luck getting in the car space...not much room to reverse and get in there. Also the curtains are so thin so the light in the morning shines on through. Good location, but just feel quite let down on this property to how it’s advertised. Also there is NO tv...we were in Christchurch when there was sadly the terror attacks and were instructed to go home and stay there. We wanted to keep updated with the news and police updates but no tv for us to watch...a luxurious house surely should have a tv?

Spacious, modern flat nicely located by some cafes

Excellent townhouse - great size for four guests. Modern decoration, easy to access (all instructions given to us were really clear). Nicely located (some good cafes and shops nearby). Linens and towels were clean and plentiful.

Pros and cons...

Beautifully appointed townhouse. Our stay included 4 adults and 2 kids. While the townhouse can accomodate this many people, it’s not comfortable. THe rooms are upstairs, no double glazing (so very noisey), very hot (windows hardly open due to height), and the window coverings do not block any light (which is excessive with the street lights... my child thought it was daytime. There also weren’t enough towels or pillows for 6 people which was disappointing. No television. No laundry powder. As mentioned beautifully decorated, with nice finishings but these aren’t always practical. Not what I would call luxury.
