Clayton is a great place to visit if you are an outdoor enthusiast. It is close to three state parks: Tallulah Gorge, Black Rock Mountain State Park, and Moccasin Creek. There are quite a number of hiking areas, many of which lead to waterfalls, such as Angel Falls and Panther Falls, Hemlock Falls, Minnehaha Falls, Dicks Creek Falls, and Bartram Trail. There are also several local golf courses including Kingwood Resort and Winery and Rabun County Golf Club.
