Probably the newest inn along Corpus Christi's "hotel row" (SPID). A bright and shiny, minimalistic boutique property with sparsely furnished but comfortable rooms. Here's a deal breaker for me -- no coffee maker! There is a spacious counter over the microwave and fridge, and even a faucet/sink. Plenty of space for a coffee maker. The manager said they're not going to have them in the rooms. Hot breakfast was average, There's a bar in the lobby which doesn't open until 6 pm.

This new hotel is in a great location, located near shopping and restaurants. The furnishings are nice and new, rooms are large and comfortable, the front desk personnel are very nice and friendly. Didn’t try the breakfast so I can’t comment on that. I would’ve given this review 5 stars except that the housekeeping in our bathroom was lacking, the toilet and laboratory were not clean when we checked in. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

After spending 3 hours running around looking at the known name hotels and running fast right back out cause they look like a hurricane just ran through them. Then happened to see ATWELL, hands down the best hotel in Corpus. The lady that checked me was excellent in customer service and informed me of everything. The cleanest hotel I’ve been to for awhile.

We brought our family and there was no mention of the pool and restaurant being closed. This was a big reason why we chose it over other hotels as we had kids to keep busy and fed. The breakfast was sub par and they ran out before the time indicated. One star given for the room (the first room the bathroom door stuck so we were moved) the second one was nice, and one star for the 3/5 staff members we encountered who were really pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.
