The Space:

The Barefoot Pelican offers a thoughtfully designed layout to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. The second floor features a master bedroom with a luxurious king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom boasting a spacious walk-in slate shower and unique antler hardware. A second bedroom, also on this floor, provides a queen-size bed and its own attached bathroom. The third bedroom is perfect for children, offering two twin bunk beds (accommodating four guests) and a third bathroom conveniently located nearby. Ascend to the third floor to discover a bonus room, complete with a twin-over-twin trundle bed, a mini-fridge, and a sink. This room also provides access to a balcony, offering stunning water views. Unwind on the attached screened-in porch, where you can enjoy the refreshing coastal breezes while the kids play in the yard. For outdoor cooking, a covered patio with a grill is available. Additionally, there is ample space for your boat trailer. Come and create lasting memories at The Barefoot Pelican!



Guest Access:

Guests of The Barefoot Pelican will have exclusive access to the entire 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house. Enjoy the open-concept living area, fully-equipped kitchen, and the bonus room on the third floor. Relax on the wraparound porches, balconies, and the screened-in porch. Outdoor cooking is made easy with the covered patio and BBQ grill. Free parking is available for your convenience. Please note that the yard is available for guest use.

For those flying in, the closest airport is Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP), approximately a 45-minute drive away. While Rockport is best explored by car, local taxi and ride-sharing services are available. Consider renting a car to explore the nearby coastal towns and attractions at your own pace. Welcome to The Barefoot Pelican! Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Please note that this is a non-smoking property, and pets are not allowed. Free parking is available on-site for your convenience. We kindly ask that you respect the neighbors and keep noise levels down, especially during evening hours. Nice place; management needs improvement

The lock box was difficult to open and close. The house is nicely furnished. The wifi info they sent via email was incorrect. Management never called us back. We finally found the correct network and password taped inside a cabinet door. No microwave. No bathmats. Comfortable furniture and bedding. Dishwasher had standing water.

Crawfest Fest

We really enjoyed the property, it had everything we needed & more. The location was perfect for what we had planned in Rockport- we went to Crawfish Fest & spent time at the beach. HEB was nearby & the house was close to other stores if we needed something. The only complaint was that it wasn't stocked with trash bsgs so we had to buy our own, dish soap & slonges as well.the dishwasher was not functioning at the time. We will consider this property again for a future stay

Best spring break ever!

There were six of us altogether, 3 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room in this gorgeous home for everyone. The house was truly magnificent. The beach was a very short distance, you can drive or walk. We were close to so many attractions. We took a boat ride to watch dolphins. I can’t say enough great things about this house. It’s perfect for families. The hosts were awesome. I can’t wait to return.

Rockport Gem!

The house was perfect for our family Thanksgiving stay. The location worked great for our needs. It was close to everything we needed. The host was great at communicating and when there was a small issue in the kitchen, it was resolved quickly.

Beautiful place!

What a beautiful place! Loved the house and the master bed was SO comfortable! We had a couple of very small inconveniences (cigarette butts left around the outside of the property, some lights burned out) that I sent to the property manager via email and she wrote me back within the hour. No big deal at all. Totally forgot to sign the guest book, kinda sad about that. We had family that lives in Rockport come visit every day and we had plenty of seating and were able to use the kitchen easily. We are in Rockport at least a few times a year due to having land out there and this has been our favorite place we have stayed yet. Close to everything you need/want. Beach is always fun, but man, one day of that heat was enough! July 4th fireworks are always out of this world…10/10!!! The one and only tiny complaint we had of the house is that it could definitely use a deep clean- the baseboards, mirrors, tile in the bathrooms, wipe down the inside of the kitchen cabinets and drawers- just a basic deep cleaning!

B E A U T I F U L 💛

The pictures don’t do this house justice! It’s absolutely breathtaking. We spent majority of our time outside on the back patio. Loved that we had the screened in porch so we weren’t getting eaten by mosquitoes & bugs! The house is also located right down the road from the shopping strip. Definitely will book again! Had an amazing time.

Beautiful house

The house was beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay. Loved the porch (it has a couple wasp nests that need to be treated). Had my coffee every morning on the porch and enjoyed every moment. I wish there was instruction or labels on the outlets that indicated electronic blinds on the large bedroom windows. Our first nights sleep would have been better. I didn’t want to wake with the sunrise on vacation. The other bummer was the BBQ grill. It was shown on the pictures of the property, however it’s unusable. It’s so dirty and there’s no grill supplies. We planned a bbq for one of our nights and those plans fell through. Seriously, other then those two minor things, I highly recommend this property.

Rockport Escape

Property was as described. Plenty of room for 4 active boys. Loved that they had outdoor space to play (we brought water guns). They loved the third floor loft. Very minimum traffic on road in front of house, so it was very quiet, yet convenient to Rockport Beach, downtown Rockport, groceries, etc. Beds were comfortable.
