Jos tarvitset hyvin ansaitulle lomalle milloin vuoden, meren ylÀpuolella on tÀydellinen kohde. TÀmÀ viihtyisÀ koti on tÀysin varustettu kaikki mitÀ tarvitset loman. Talo on pohjoiseen pÀin ja kylpee kauniissa auringonpaisteessa koko pÀivÀn. Kaikki oleskelutilat ja merenrantahuone tarjoavat laajan nÀkymÀt merelle.

Ihanteellinen paikka, jossa voit rentoutua, lukea kirjaa, kuunnella musiikkia tai katsella elokuvaa upeimmista nÀkymistÀ. LÀhellÀ syvÀ meri on lumoava ja harvinaista herkkua. PÀivÀn aikana nÀhdÀÀn usein delfiinejÀ ja sinettejÀ, ja valaat on havaittavissa kotiovellesi muuttokauden aikana.

Nouskaa aikaisin ja koe henkeÀsalpaava auringonnousu tai rentoudu lasillisen viinin jÀlkeen ihana pÀivÀ rannalla ja katsele upeinta auringonlaskua. Pilvetön yö ja tÀysi kuu katselevat valtameren hohtavan kuunvalossa.

Veden toimintaa ovat tietenkin tÀrkein vetonaula lÀmpiminÀ kuukausina ja ei ole pulaa hauskaa on ollut. Jos tuntuu haaste, sukellusta ja surffausta oppitunteja tarjoavat pÀteviÀ paikallisia. Jos tuntuu uida tai haluat vain saada jalat mÀrkÀ, sinun tÀytyy valita kahdesta partioi rannat vain lyhyen kÀvelymatkan pÀÀssÀ. Sinun suurin pÀÀtös pÀivÀlle on, "MinkÀ rannan pitÀÀ mennÀ?"

Aikana cooler kuukautta sijainti tekee siitÀ tÀysin eri valittaa, et tuntuu kuin olet miljoonan mailin pÀÀssÀ tyhjÀstÀ ja meriin koskaan ei petÀ kanssa on alati muuttuva tunnelmia. KaasulÀmmitys annetaan talven aikana, jotta se pysyy kodikkaassa ja lÀmmin.

Meren ylÀpuolella on 4 makuuhuonetta ja 3 kylpyhuonetta. Kolme queen-vuodetta, yksi kolmen hengen vuode ja yksi yhden hengen vuode.

We enjoyed our stay. Suggestions: Please could manuals for operating coffee machines and kitchen compost bins be on hand. Also instructions re bin collection nights. The washing line is broken. Stunning location, lovely house, thoughtful owners

The views from this home are stunning, looking north, over the sea towards Kiama, with Culburra and Shoalhaven to the west. The home has lovely central living space with a separate TV room (both with views across the sea), so it feels spacious. The four separate sleeping spaces worked well for us, too. The kitchen is well set up, a gift basket made us feel welcome, and the owners communicated effectively. We had a wonderful holiday week and would love to be able to visit again. Many thanks to the owners for making their home available.

Family weekend away

Amazing Views, Great House!

This was our third stay at Above the Sea. The views are really stunning, 180 degrees of beautiful ocean including a bombora so there’s always something to see. It doesn’t matter about the weather because there are excellent views from two large living spaces and a large bedroom. There’s two beaches within easy walking distance, one is a surf beach and the other has a sheltered cove for less waves. There’s shops about a 5 minute drive away including a good sized Woolworths and a BWS (liquor store), a bakery with good banh mi, a couple of takeaway food shops and a new cool family friendly restaurant/bar and a large bowling club with decent good value meals. Plenty to do in the area, lots of national parks and various other sightseeing attractions. The house is well equipped with decent internet and fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely be returning!

Hidden gem

This house is in a very special location on a cliff top - amazing views with a variety of weather conditions and so an ever changing outlook. Very short walk to two beaches - one sheltered so suits family and one a cracking patrolled body surfing beach. Close to lakes for fishing and paddling and decent (but limited) local coffee options and basic shops and take away food options. The house was extremely well stocked and nicely presented - would be even better if it had a decent depth deck at the front for sheltered evenings and sitting area as there was considerable wind during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the township so will definitely be back. Thanks

Magnificent views - perfect stay

We had a wonderful week here a year ago and couldn’t wait to get back this year. Beautifully clean and very well equipped it’s the perfect location to get away and have some family time. The layout of the house also enabled to have our own quiet time chilling out. Even when raining the views are magnificent across the bay to the mountains and out to the ocean. Dolphin pods passing, the sound of crashing waves and the beach just a few mins walk we love it! Lots of great walks in the surrounding area (eg. Currarong Beach - Abrahams Bosom Walk and the Point Perpendicular Light House) We will be back, thank you so much Tracey. We feel so luck to be able to stay in your beautiful home. Jacinda.

Amazing views from a lovely house

We spent a wonderful 3 nights with 5 adults celebrating a family birthday in this lovely house. The ocean views are amazing with the house perfectly set up to take in the mesmerising views from both living rooms with glass sliding doors & comfortable lounges. Sitting on the outside porch felt like being on a cruise ship. This house is perfect for all weather - our first 2 days were overcast with an afternoon storm so it great to sit inside watching the dramatic ocean. The next 2 days were beautiful with blue skies so we enjoyed sitting outside & relaxing on the sun lounges. We celebrated a birthday with a special seafood lunch from the house as no restaurant could complete with that fabulous outlook. The house was really clean and tidy with lovely decor. It was set up with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable including a well-equipped kitchen with some supplies, beautiful bedding, music speaker, games/DVDs and a thoughtful welcome basket of goodies. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning one day soon. Thanks for the memories!

Views, Whales, Whales

Within 5 minutes of arriving we saw a whale and a sea eagle hovering above. In one week’s stay we saw 47 whales, dolphins, seals and numerous birds. Take your binoculars! But, there are some issues. A welcome basket of chips, chocolate, coffee pods, long life milk and Twinning’s tea bag was provided. But if it wasn’t whale migration time I don’t think we would stay here again as it turned out to be rather expensive with extra charges for service, cleaning and pet fees. The reasons why this property lost a whole star is a result of many small issues. Previous holiday makers did not clean up their dog’s faeces. There was no light above the dining table. As it was only 2 of us, we just moved closer to the closest available light. We had no prior warning about a lawn mowing company suddenly appearing out the back one day. In the kitchen there was a completely rusted, useless can opener, a severely stained, clean (!) tea towel and we could not find an oven mitt. In the middle bathroom (- with the weird bi-fold door, in the TV room,) except for a hand towel ring, there wasn’t anywhere to put your bath towel and clothes. There was also mould in the shower recess under the taps. All 3 toilet lids need replacing. They were clean but are definitely showing their age. The worst thing though was the wooden 2 seats & table in between, on the outside balcony. That same set is shown in photos dating back to when the property was last sold in January 2013. It is so weather worn that we both got splinters in our hands, tore my clothing and on the table there was a screw or nail pointy end sticking up through the wooden table. A welcome brochure would have been appreciated, indicating when lawn maintenance occurs, when garbage night is, best coffee in town etc. A squeegee on a long pole would also be a benefit for us to clean all those glass doors, so we could always have that wonderful view. Seeing 47 whales and all the other wildlife was worth the money, even including all the issues mentioned above. We do not regret it all, the views and whales were worth it!

Great weekend away!

My Husband, Daughter 6.5yrs and our dog had an lovely weekend away. The house is set out great with one lounge room where you can just watch the ocean and do lego (TV FREE!!) and the other TV lounge room also with a view was also great to use in the night time when you wanted to watch TV/Movie. The grass area off the main living areas is lovely to sit on, have a picnic or kick the ball with the family / dog. We also loved the dog beach we could easily walk to We would walk along the beach about 1 km then walk up the stairs to the road and grab a coffee, Egg and Bacon roll from the corner store for breakfast. They also do good fish and chips, burgers etc. The sunsets are also amazing! Thank you for our lovely stay ;-) Renee / Sydney

Lovely house with beautiful view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Culburra Beach. The house had plenty of room for us to relax with our teens, and it was a huge bonus that we could bring our dog. There was a beautiful view from the living area, walks along the beach during the day and a great selection of films to watch and board games to keep us occupied in the evening. We also appreciated the welcome basket which included chocolate and coffee pods! Would highly recommend this property - will definitely be back in the future thank you!

What would we change? Just one thing -

We would stay LONGER. This is a place one never tires of. The house is magnificently situated and very well set up. Touches of thoughtful, luxurious even, attention to comfort - love the mohair throws, love the decor. The house could easily have accommodated more family / friends without losing peace and privacy. A very easy place to be in. But it is the position that made this truly unforgettable. The view, from cliff top over the ocean, draws a gasp of awe as you walk through the front door - and that never wears off. With the daily visits of sea eagles and dolphins etc etc we could easily have spent all our time very happily there at the house. But the house is surrounded by places to explore, so many different experiences within short walk or drive. Too late we discovered the lovely little cafe just up the road. We'll make more use of that next time :)

Absolutely perfect!

We had a week here over New Years and loved every moment. With the view across the bay and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below you know you are on the coast. The beach is only a few min easy walk and dog off leash from 4pm to 8am was a bonus. The kitchen is really well equipped and had all the essentials you may need. A very comprehensive movie collection entertained our family most nights. So much fun! Thank Tracey and JM, you were so communicative and we appreciated staying in your home. Jacinda and family

Best view

Very comfortable home. Easily caters fir 8 adults with 3 bathrooms. Saw the local sea eagles and dolphins. Great fishing off the rocks.

It's all about the view!

We spent a family Christmas with overseas visitors and were blown away (literally!) by the ever-changing, mesmerising view of this location. The house works well, and is well-equipped. There were many little touches such as new soap in the bathroom and a bottle of wine to welcome us. Thank you for this magical week we had.
