My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here to celebrate our anniversary. It's cozy, comfortable, and very clean, with a short walk to the lake and a full supply of water toys, including a canoe, paddle board, and kayak (and paddles and life jackets). The charm of the house is due in large part to its solid construction; it was built when contractors used hefty planks for flooring. We greatly enjoyed the porch, which is on the side of the house and therefore open on three sides, which allows for breezes off the lake all day. The porch has six rocking chairs and a large table for meals, and a big ceiling fan in case the day is still. The grill is on the porch so you can cook out in any weather. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped with vintage cookware. It does not have a Keurig, but there are two drip coffee makers. The house is on a no-wake cove that invites paddling. The no-wake restriction seems to discourage loud motor boats and jet skis, which adds to the quiet. The a/c worked well, and when we lucked into an early cool snap, we opened the doors and windows (all the windows open and have good screens) and enjoyed very cool mountain air. This is not a dazzling modern 5,000 square-foot Lake McMansion, but more of a charming, cozy cottage. It was very clean and quiet, and the property management folks were responsive, helpful, and honest. We look forward to staying here again.
